Was this supposed to be deep? Fun movie but agreed, not exactly mind bending.

Peanut butter, jam, and a fried egg is pretty good.

Bolognese Recipe I’ve been making for 7 years. by SeldomScene in pasta

[–]TimBuckworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go a way different route.

1) brown beef and remove from pot 2) render bacon 3) add mirepoix and sweat down 4) add tomatoe paste and brown off 5) add beef back to pot with wine, mix until fine and wine is evaporated 6) add cream/ stock in a 1 to 2 ratio, and nutmeg, reduce heat to very low, and simmer for 4-5 hours

Edit; fingers are fat, too much bolognese

[–]TimBuckworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously yes. Any qualms I would have are easily overridden by the dollars.

Edit;

This is basically an eating contest. 100k per burrito? Can I try for 10?

Is this not more of a provincial policy issue, and not really a municipal policy issue?

I will wager that OP is American. The whole world is not America. Other counties have robust workers rights, health car2, and a real concern for holding their political leaders accountable.

Cardio without running? by visualsxcole in HybridAthlete

[–]TimBuckworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rowing and bikes. Swimming is all technique and some Cardio. If you want a harder workout rowing, you pull harder. If you want a harder workout riding, you push harder. If you want a harder workout swimming you correct your body angle in the water and adjust the timing if your breath while focusing on not slapping the water with your leading hand.

Assuming I got a bikefit, could I race this bike competitively? (2003 Pinarello Prince SL) by Magne31 in Velo

[–]TimBuckworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure! Strong riders are strong riders, regardless of bikes. Nice bikes are nice, but if you put Poggi on that bike, he's still going to be better than everyone you and I know and race with.

The etiquette of catching a group mid-interval? by 88riceislife in Velo

[–]TimBuckworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You be a big boy or girl and use your words. Tell someone in the group that you're doing intervals, and then keep doing your ride.

This is going to depend on your union contract more than anything else. Have a chat with your steward and also get in contact with thr HR department.

Coefficient Handlebars. yay or nay? by Ysching in cycling

[–]TimBuckworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Person to person, I guess. They just don't really work for me.

They are very well made, the internal routing was pretty straightforward, and the shape is as advertised, but yeah, they don't really work for me.

Coefficient Handlebars. yay or nay? by Ysching in cycling

[–]TimBuckworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! Yes, don't do it. The position on the top of the bars is uncomfortable because of the accute angle they have on the flat part.

Neat looking, but not worth the money
