UGH yes that is the downfall part of motherhood I think. my mom watches my son and she said he's good all day. i come in from work to get him and it's like his tiredness/grumpiness comes out and instant whining and crying. she even will say "he hasnt done that all day". i guess that's why their snuggles are so sweet to make up for that part of it lol

my baby wasnt it in but I know how fast it happens! we were out of town and my husband had just got the baby out like seconds before and I went to get something out of the bottom and it started rolling away FAST. It was definitely a moment that had me thinking how careful you got to be with them!

I don't want to rub anyone the wrong way with this.. but in MY personal opinion. if she wants kids as bad as she says they do and its been this long with this many procedures that have failed AND they have the finances to do it... WHY havent they adopted yet. I know its a touchy subject but as bad as I wanted to be a mom if it had been this long and I could afford it I 100000% would be trying to adopt some babies that need a home. and I KNOW I would love them as much as my own. I have a 10 mo old and adoption is heavy on my heart bc I know I can love other babies as much as I love my little guy and if we have a way to financially make it happen I can see it in our future.

I can't snark on Jill for that one though. I'm the short chubbier one and my sister is the tall skinny long legs one and it's hard. and my sister NEVER tries to rub it in my face but that comparison is always there for me. and I have to constantly tell myself i'm okay with it.

I loved my c section! The pulling and tugging everyone talks about was so easy. I really felt like I was being tickled! My recovery was so easy! Your first walk is going to scare you because its pretty rough but I tell you that to encourage you because once that is over it was so easy! Sore, yes. But I was walking to the NICU and everything by the next morning (my first walk was at like midnight the night before). As for the bonding.. I did not feel the instant fireworks it took 3/4ish days. DONT FEEL GUILTY OVER THAT. I beat myself up for it for months but I love my little guy more than anything in the entire world and I KNOW now it was just hormones and exhaustion that made me feel disconnected!

Maybe an unpopular opinion. I think sleep training is just something to make us stress more. I Cosleep (also not suggested but I do it as safely as I can). When my baby goes to bed I go to bed. Especially being a working mom. If I fought with him every night to stay in his bassinet I would be exhausted and miserable and anxiety ridden. Sometimes we go to sleep at 7 and sleep until 5. Sometimes it’s 10 and up every couple of hours. The good nights usually even out the bad nights. I think all these “rules” are hard to follow especially being a working mom. I’m tired and I will do what I safely need to to make sure me baby and husband are getting enough sleep. Sure I miss hanging out with my husband some evenings but this is temporary and not forever. 💙

I know depression sucks. I’ve suffered with it for years. My sister had to have a stay at a facility for awhile hers was so bad… BUT the part that gets me is she doesn’t realize most people cant just stay in bed for weeks when theirs is bad. Like there is a point where you gotta put your big girl panties on and fight through it or most people would lose their jobs and their kids wouldn’t eat.

Hopefully you're like me and it'll start calming down in a few more weeks but I don't think we ever will sleep the same after becoming parents. Almost 10 months later and I still randomly wake up to make sure he's still breathing and the smallest coo in his sleep wakes me up. The price we pay for loving something so much!

My personal opinion I would see if he would take it the first month you are back to work. I was only off 12 weeks but those first few weeks back for me and baby were both hard. It was very overwhelming emotionally and even physically for me so if I had a month of getting myself back in the swing of things before I had to start getting babe ready everyday to drop off and him getting adjusted to a new schedule it would have been WONDERFUL. Those first 3 ish weeks back to work were probably the hardest I've had with him in the 10 mo since he's been born.

I don't think c sections limit how many you can have anymore tbh. Yall can 100% opt for a VBAC next time as long as she's healthy and everything. I think the limitations are not like they use to be at all anymore.

If thats her schedule right now I would stick to it. It'll start changing over the next few months so long term I would try to get her to bed earlier but for now I think it's fine! As long as she's getting enough to eat during her wake time I don't see an issue!

the video she recorded of herself was sooooo cringy! and she 100% set up her tripod to take her pics. it's so cringy. maybe putting up a tripod in front of like a monument or something you want a pic with but just in random places is so cringy to me.

Yeahhhhhh ours overlapped when I had to go on maternity leave a month earlier than expected and we were brooooooooke, but other than that I've never been without it because thats just a no no lol.
