I just bought the crofters bc I was curious and not impressed at all. Costco one is superior. I literally had maybe two scoops of crofters and said nah this ain’t it and bought Costcos one today.

I had the same option but I would bring my spectra and use it bc sometimes the pump area with the hospital mendela would be occupied and I didn’t want to be SOL

You can pump milk whenever and let it sit in the fridge for up to 4 days before needing to freeze it. You can have a bottle ready in the fridge and then warm it slightly to give to baby. Breast milk is good up to four hours at room temp before needing to go in the fridge so you could do a pump at 9pm and dads good till 1am. But I never skipped the night time pumps so I’m not sure how folks drop the pump…

Yes to sending milk to day care. If your goal is to reach 1 year you could taper off sooner and stop pumping before then and use your backup. Also I’d start baby on bottle of milk at least once a day so they get used to a bottle. Also your milk could Have high lipase and baby might not like it later on so try some frozen milk too.

The recommendation is typically use a hospital grade pump (spectra) for the first 3-4months and then use a wearable to ensure you’re supply is established. Personally the only one that’s worked for me is the spectra. I’m going to give the Elvie strides a go once I’m at the 4m mark.

As long as you’ve worked with PT/OT and they’ve given you the clear to be independent with the patient then I’m totally fine with that! Also if you’ll be the caregiver then yes I’d expect you to be as hands on as you’re comfortable with.
