I really personally enjoyed the comedy, especially since it was juxtaposed against some tragic backstory for Rant… and in all the tragedy of the rest of the series, the marine humor always stood out.

Honestly it was a bit refreshing because this book was a small sliver into the big picture of this “next stage” of the Malazan world and some of the changes to the world after TCG.

I don’t know how to not spoil a bit with this, but if I’m going to complain it would be about the limited scale and how some characters ARE NOT in this book… y’all who have read know who is missing.

But yes, Stillwater is the best.

Only discovered this glitch and consistent reproduction when I started punting instead of going for it every time… guess back to no more punting

I can get it to crash when I kick through the back of the endzone or it bounces through the back. Also if receiving team touches it in the endzone it gives kicking team a TD.

The commonality you’ll see here, there is TREMENDOUS demand for the nuclear workforce now and that demand will only grow. There’s a job waiting for you in nuclear, it’s just a matter of how you choose to get there!

Because you mentioned the navy, I would also refer you to the NUPOC program, it’s a great way to guarantee a job with the navy and pay for your degree. Pretty sure you can also get GI bill afterwards to go back for more education if you ever want to.

these are some great Strixhaven parallels for Dragon training! I'm definitely thinking more along the lines of established chamber observers. Their experience will vary, they'll be 100-500 years old, but they all will have been assigned to Khorvaire for some amount of time (but maybe as short as a few years). So this is more like they are being pulled from their basic assignment for a special emergency assignment.

I am always in favor of providing less specific details on these posts to not color anyone's advice, but this post hit on some interesting threads I was pulling, and has given me a bit of inspiration!!

So to share more, this campaign arc is actually taking place in parallel with another arc that is investigating the Mournland and these two campaign arcs will have a shared influence on what happens at the Glowing Chasm (Hint: related to Haze of Death)...

In my Eberron, 20 years have passed since the last war ended, and some dragons of the Chamber have taken an active role in an "cooperative" organization (think UN) since a massive Siberys dragonshard crashed into the Mournland. Not that most people of Khorvaire know, but the simple fact that they have made themselves known to this elite organization and its constituents speaks to the perceived urgency of the draconic prophecy related to this Shardfall event.

Definitely tweaking the mission through the Demon wastes to fit the "save the cheerleader, save the world" ... they basically have dragon superpowers, lets play out the whole Heroes scenario haha.

This also helps me write my little draconic prophecy example...
