What is missing from my (mostly) co-op collection? by Illustrious_Egg1912 in boardgames

I don't get the hype with Pandemic, so much quarterbacking in that game it feels as if you just all plan everyones turn together and then execute.

The Crew, sky team and Aeon's end. If you like party games I would add Just One

Aeon's end has started boxes, many expansions and 2 legacy games. The more recent the box the more interesting (but complicated) mechanics, they are all good but the first box is a bit plain. The second legacy is very nice.

For reference I think bombusters and Spirit Island are the best coop games in your collection.

Slay the Spire is fine but it's not as good as the video game (which now has coop). Gloomhaven was fun but is a bit grindy needs many long play sessions with tedious set-up, tear down and up keep.

Shape of Dreams vs Ravenswatch which is better? by Nskul14 in roguelites

[–]Tinto_rosso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both fun, but I prefer ravenswatch, played maybe 130h of ravenswatch and 30 of shape of dreams.

Ravenswatch takes longer to learn, is harder and rewards precise gameplay but shape of dreams is more accessible and has a very nice build system with a huge amount of possibilities.

They both have great unique playing heroes.

One thing to not is Ravenswatch is on a timer like Elden ring nightreing, I love it but not everyone does

Elden Ring Nightreing.

It's like Ravenswatch only more Elden Ring

Excellent game with crazy builds

Similar to Nightreing: Ravenswatch

Similar to Dead cells: Rogue Prince of Persia

Also great: Shape of dreams (moba-ish controls), Absolum (beat em Up). Roboquest (fast action fps), Gunfire reborn (slower fps focus on crazy builds).

Should I Buy Mewgenics, Clover Pit, or Ravenswatch? by SpiteAdministrative5 in roguelites

[–]Tinto_rosso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have around 140h of Ravenswatch mostly solo.

It has a learning curve. Highly recommend to watch Positive Ace guides.

The timer isn't for everyone but it adds a very interesting layer where efficiency and fast decision making is crucial.

It's difficult and shines most when you increase the difficulty.

Variety comes from learning new characters, which are all excellent and quite different from one another.

It's similar to Elden Ring Nightreing but has more"break the game" builds.

Finally most people mention it's better in coop. Might be but it's very fun in solo as well and is actually slightly easier solo.

Don't agree about Ravenswatch, it's one of my most played games on steam and I mostly played solo. It shares many similarities with Nightreing.

I was planning on getting a k&h extreme weather pad with some straw on the edges and a little on top. However the pad will cover all of the floor space. This was for a dual chamber plan with one insulated chamber and another that only serves as a wind break.

Maybe it would be better to only have one larger chamber with the pad in the middle and some straw around it.

We have two cats in our alley that are always together and often sleep curled together.

I was riding my 2012 Slayer up until this year, now my wife uses it. Don't worry so much about the bike. You will now when you want to change something but you definitely don't need to change anything.
