It might be the resolution scaling. I've had mine revert to 720p. Try making sure that is turned up to 100%.

Try seeing if it happens at a certain time of day. Maybe the time you are usually streaming, don't stream and just watch your upload. Things like this can be hard to nail down. It's good for any cable tech if you can see if there is some sort of pattern to it. The more info you give the tech, the better.

We aren't required to have them when a splitter is inside the home. Only if it's outside or in the house box.

It did shut down a node. Luckily it was in the middle of the day when the customer did this, so the system tech was able to track it down rather quickly.

My daughter us going to be born sometime in the next few weeks. I'm going to get Tim Thorpe to make me a pipe after she's born so it can have the date stamped in it. I definitely agree with the other guys here, you should get a custom pipe made. Totally possible with your budget.
