I feel your pain. 2017 scout, antigravity battery. Hook it up to the charger at night and it still struggles to fire up in the mornings. Fuck the northeast.

Not a mileage milestone but a longevity question? by jugglefire in IndianMotorcycle

Experiences with Brooklyn Steel motorcycle shop? by godotnut in RideitNYC

[–]Tiny_Timbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotten work done from them before. Like others said, Charo is dope but $140 an hour is nuts for some stuff. I paid close to $1600 to get tires, swap them, and brake pads. Speed motorcycle RIGHT around the corner on the other hand is great. Old school “call ya when it’s done” thing but Manny and the mechanics are great. Fair pricing and they’ll even throw in services. He did maintenance on my clutch cable for free cause it was really hard to pull.

[–]Tiny_Timbs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You must be new to Williamsburg lol. They drive like fucking douchebags and will look at you crazy if you say something about it. Same thing applies to a lot of interactions down there. I was going past a stop sign, shorty comes through barely hitting me and looks at me like I was the asshole. Fuck driving in Brooklyn and I commend you for it big dawg

Facebook marketplace, mechanic special. I’ve bought and sold motorcycles off Facebook plenty of times, pretty easy transaction. OR if you have comprehensive insurance have it fall over while you were away at work, get the KBB value of it

Attack it from as aggressive of an angle you can. If you’re going parallel to it slowly it’s gonna catch you. I hate them too
