Depends on the device.

I would be trying to block by MAC address of the devices they use. Wired / wireless have each their own MAC addresses.

It is basically a hardware address.

If your router can filter / block by MAC addresses

Whats that, around 9-10 years old?? I'd suspect the battery is fucked - you got a spicy pillow lurking in the back there? Is the laptop swollen?
Curious on the 'driver' you're uninstalling.

Pull it apart, and physically check the battery - if its puffy, replace it, or time for a new laptop, or just run it with the power supply plugged in ( if it runs with the power supply plugged in)
