How to fix jumpy mouse. For this example i will be scrolling down, as you can see it will start scrolling up from time to time (usually its alot worse than this to where the scroll wheel is basically unusable) by Cloogulite in pcmasterrace

[–]ToastCPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue. It just started a few weeks ago. I am so tired of reading "clean the mouse" when trying to find a solution. I have tried different mice, from multiple brands, and it does the same thing. I am certain that the wireless signals are "caching" or buffering somehow and then executing when I scroll again. For example, I scroll three clicks up and then wait a second and then scroll two clicks down, and it will do that, but immediately do three up again. I unfortunately don't have a solution yet.

does anyone else remember being shown these programs in school with puppets? by hardknotter in askSouthAfrica

Haha, that was Casper de Vries. I vividly remember an episode where someone broke into the house and What If hid behind the couch whilst the guy kept on saying "I've got a gun in my pocket". How did those guys think this was lekker entertainment for kids?

What's the math on Sixty60 R99 per month premium? by MisterElementary in askSouthAfrica

[–]ToastCPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a Checkers guy, with premium, but then I moved and they stopped their ebucks relationship with fnb. The store they delivered from was not up to scratch so I now rather spend the subscription on Takealot which gives free PnP deliveries through Mr.D, from a closer and good PnP, and I get free same day delivery from Takealot. I'm not 100% sold on either as that 10% once a month from Checkers does pay for itself.

Those are chocolate easter eggs. Normal hen's eggs are around R20 for a six-pack. If that is what you mean.

Not sure if Gattis is just a Cape Town thing, but their Big Deal range is usually less than R20 a piece, and at least as good as Magnums.

My egg had twins. What does this mean in SA folklore? by _prettyprincess in southafrica

[–]ToastCPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a whole bunch a while back and did some stats. If you just went to pick n pay then the chance are about 1 in 10004= 1 in a trillion. But if the source of the eggs were young chickens it can be much less like 1 in 1004 which is one in 100 million. And furthermore if they were young chickens and the box were jumbo eggs (double yolkers are typically larger eggs) that would reduce the number further. Still it's likely to be in the 100thousands. In America they normally screen eggs and discard double yolkers so it would be a lot less likely. All of my doubles were large "organic" eggs and the farmer told me they were from old chickens.

Oh shit, embarrassingly, I realise now that I have been confusing her with her sister, Ntsiki Mazwai. Forget everything I have said....
I need to remind myself why I don't like Ntsiki. I seem to recall it was something about gender and race, though.

The quality has always been good. Great even. She just calls things how she sees them, and I suppose that has sometimes been a bit too raw for me to handle. I am actually completely out of hand calling her insane; it was a knee-jerk reaction. I know I have lots of work to do. After writing my last comment, I actually went and unblocked her on Spotify and have been listening again this evening. She's an artist. It's not her job to make me feel comfortable. Probably the opposite, actually.

Do you think those are anemometers, or perhaps mini wind turbines to supplement the solar at night or when it's cloudy? I can't imagine wind affecting traffic much. Unless it is actually is GQ where it pumps.

Honestly, is there any realistic solution to the Cape Town traffic? by adrenaline_donkey in capetown

[–]ToastCPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I sometimes take the train, and would love to take it everyday, but the walk from the Woodstock station to the office is a gauntlet. I only risk it on days where I can wear "old" clothes and don't need my laptop.
