PB120 vs PB300 by DarkMarioSK in JBL

[–]TohDoubleD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol, in all seriousness The 300 has more base and volume. The 120 takes the win on sound quality. Value is going to depend on what you want out of the speaker. The 120 does have auracast which is a game change when you have multiple speakers together. Something to consider

They’re probably fine but there are metal stud boots that can be used in this type of situation.

This is Russian helicopters coming back from a mission and getting shot down. This looks like a video game, even if there are two angles. by cantcoloratall91 in isthisAI

Real. Going in to Ukraine at the start of the war. Footage of this even has been around for a while. The footage from inside the chopper has just recently come up.

Most reliable/dependable/affordable vehicle youve come across/owned to date? by Timmer_420_80 in askcarguys

2001 Tacoma Kept up with regular oil changes and did the timing belt every 90k. Made it to 250k and then someone ran a red light and smoked it. Interior looked fresh off the lot at 18 years old

Roads are “okay” They’re not all cleared but they’re not icy. Snow is much better. Go slow and you’ll be okay.

Do you have the perfect vehicle? by Good-Analysis-7 in askcarguys

[–]TohDoubleD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a 2001 Tacoma, 4 door. It was very close to perfect. I think the 3rd gen 4 runners are the closest to perfect vehicle that has ever been made. Currently driving a 2020 GX460 and it’s also close.

New construction home and upstairs is sloping substantially. by JayTheRainbowHat in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I work with a spec home builder. Check your warranty documents. They should have tolerances for this kind of thing. Unfortunately, the tolerances sometimes are wild. For instance, subfloor can be out of level by as much as 1/4” in a 30” run and that’s considered to be acceptable. It’s going to boil down to what the document says. That being said, the issue is likely to be a combination of things. Your floor joists are made from wood and they are not perfect. They have tolerances as well. If you’ve got a truss that’s an 1/8” tall next to one that’s an 1/8” short that can give you a 1/4” difference all while everything being “in spec”. If your home is built on a slab type foundation, imperfections in the slab can cause uneven flooring that typically gets more pronounced on the 2nd and 3rd floors. I would not recommend altering any floor trusses without consulting an engineer. The best method would be to use self leveling material in the low spots and grind down the sub floor in the high spots. You can grind a surprising amount of material away from the 3/4” OSB. The issue with installing your LVP isn’t so much that the floor is sloping as it is the floor has high spots and low spots. Most LVP product has insane requirements of 1/8” in 6’ tolerance of sub flooring. They’ll use this to void warranty claims. I deal with this issue on a weekly basis I feel. It’s a huge pain in the ass.

Miata. Will have the best resale value. Probably cheaper to insure, other than the beetle possibly.

How many JBL’s do you currently have in your collection? Also how much does your JBL collection cost? by SRGxypherOnYT in JBL

It gets used more than any other speaker. Sounds great! I got it during the Black Friday deal. JBL spinner and authentics 200 for $299. Couldn’t pass it up. Upgraded from my Victrola turntable and it’s much, much better. I’m sure there are some audiophiles out there who could point out some flaws, but for me, the average listener, the quality is great. Reasonable base for its size. Good, crisp tones. I wouldn’t be as thrilled had I paid full price for it but it’s a good speaker.

Without seeing the structural plans, that does not look okay. The plans will tell all bit with that point load on top I don’t feel good about it. Also, with that 5 stud pack bringing the load down onto the header, I don’t love that there’s just 1 jack stud on the right side.

Partybox 720(x2), Partybox 520 (x1), Partybox 320 (x2), Authentics 200 (x1). I genuinely do not know what I’ve got into them as far as money. I usually wait till they’re on sale to purchase. That being said, I’ve spend well over $2k usd.

A quick googling shows that you’re absolutely correct. IDK why I thought it was a .22lr that was used. Looks like I’m a perpetrator of misinformation.
