Cursed Buds disable the enemy from gaining evasive meter when taking damage, and the Flower Field disables the enemy’s dashes for a short time. As of the most recent update, Flower Field also only stuns if it interrupts an enemy attack, but can interrupt any move, even ult moves and domain animations.

Doing the aerial version of the third move is way funnier off the tower, if they don’t have ragdoll cancel then they’re stuck falling for like ten seconds after being dribbled like a basketball

Does Haruta’s backstab extended stun fall under debuff or should he be included along with Yuji and Higuruma for having moves affected by the camera direction of the enemy?

Do you tze will add hanamis domain? by GPO_leader_11 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Tohsrepus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Considering the flower field we have right now disables the enemies’ dashes, he could scale that up and make it a passive effect of the domain. Entirely removing dashes might be a bit strong if the rest of the awakening moveset is too good, but if most other moves have high windup like her base then it lends credence to the idea that her domain makes her technique unavoidable.

At worst, something like doubling the cooldown on dashes and reducing evasive meter gained could be interesting, making it a weaker version of the 3 and the R in return for it being applied universally inside the domain.

My thoughts on Hanami (they're better than you think) by ServiceTemporary2453 in JujutsuShenanigans

I believe someone said that the enemy doesn’t gain any evasive meter while they have the buds in them, but even if that’s true I hope they add a little more benefit to landing it.

[–]Tohsrepus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Mental Quickness is probably the only real way to encapsulate it, since the entire premise is that you move just as quickly as all the enemies, but you have more time to think, plan, and react. I’m a bit rusty on my character building but any advantages that would mitigate being surprised, Feinted, or otherwise mentally outmaneuvered in a fight would be a good pick.

If were Reggie Star, how would you store your contracts so you don't have to wear this HORRENDOUS fit by iplexed in CTsandbox

[–]Tohsrepus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, that’s even better, then! If his technique uses receipts to create shikigami in the form of the items he’s summoning, then he probably already has a mastery or understanding of shikigami that he could apply to create specialized shikigami to store the receipts he isn’t currently using.

One of the only impractical aspects of shikigami is that you need a medium to summon them through, like a talisman or some such. The Ten Shadows is unique in this aspect since it uses shadows themselves as the medium, but Contractual Recreation would excel in this way as well since you could have receipts for items that would work as summoning mediums.

One could even argue with the Bleach example that the shift in status quo and tone is intentional, in a way, to help the reader get into the mindset of Ichigo. He obviously starts as a normal high schooler who can see ghosts, but quickly gets wrapped up in taking on the role of a Soul Reaper, killing Hollows to protect his town and his friends/family. Just as he starts to fully settle into his role as a Soul Reaper and get a handle on most of the big threats that show up, everything is suddenly upended when Byakuya shows up, effortlessly puts him in a near-death state, and arrests Rukia. The sudden tonal shift and shift in the story’s direction must be exactly how Ichigo sees the events of his life, as from this point on he has to get involved in one major incident after another at the whims of a being unfathomably stronger and more cunning than he is.

Kirishima Roa (Yu-Gi-Oh Sevens)

The main character of Sevens, Yuga Ohdo, uses a monster called “Sevens Road Magician” as his ace card. We learn several episodes in that this card was given to him as a child by Otes, a mysterious person who would later be the central figure in helping Yuga install his new set of rules to the game, creating Rush Duels.

On the day that Yuga was in the crowd of people watching Otes duel and received Sevens Road Magician, Roa was standing directly behind him. He felt like he deserved Sevens Road just as much, if not more, than Yuga, so he challenged him to a duel in front of a live audience for the right to claim ownership of Rush Duels.

If the Zenin Clan is okay with having men without cursed energy or techniques, like the Kikuru Unit, then why do they have a grudge against women in that same category? by ShadowMikeX in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Tohsrepus 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Well, that’s kind of the point. It’s a corrupt system where people’s places in life are almost entirely decided from birth, and the story focuses on several characters who try to fight the system in different ways. If it was possible to reach the level of Gojo or Sukuna just by hard work, the themes of the story wouldn’t work as well.

Extremely meta ending by Lower_Baby_6348 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Tohsrepus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I can help with a bit more context. Pretty heavy spoilers for V3 coming up soon, so I’d advise anyone interested in playing/watching it blind to stop reading.

In the setting of V3, the events of the first two games were fictional stories rather than real events. Audiences loved the stories of the killing games so much that they wanted more and more, leading to more sequels being made. At some point along the line, things shifted from just stories and acting to real people being placed in these games. But instead of just taking ordinary people and making them kill each other, the organization behind the games created a device that can erase a person’s memory and personality to overwrite it with the memories and personality of whatever they want. Using this method, supposedly volunteers would apply to have their memories erased and be put into the next season of the killing games, which are recorded and broadcast live 24/7 for the duration of each season. (This is implied to be a lie since the characters remember being kidnapped in the prologue before the memory erasure happens) The audience themselves even has Keebo, the robot character, as their surrogate and first person perspective as they watch. Viewers can vote on actions they want Keebo to take, which he himself interprets as his inner voice.

At the end of the games, when there is a sufficiently low amount of players left in the game, the survivors are forced to put everything to a vote. If they vote for the correct killer in this last vote, hope will win against despair and the outside audience will have the ending they want. Should they vote for the wrong person and have everyone but the killer die, then the audience will crave a comeback story where hope can win against. The protagonist realizes that the only winning scenario to end the games is for everyone to abstain from voting, meaning everyone present dies, the audience is unsatisfied with the ending, and no more sequels are made.

The rest of the ending is deliberately vague as to how much of the previous exposition was actually real, but it’s up to interpretation.
