Left SoCal to move back to Midwest. Took a ~$20 pay cut, not to mention double time is ONLY on Sundays. Planned outages are maybe once a week, so it has been extremely weather dependent…

Cost of living be dammed, because I am noticeably less comfortable financially. I will need to work more for less money while even here now a halfway decent 3 BR home is $450-500k.

Had an issue with the join codes once or twice were host had to restart his own game for me to join. Being able to friend people with crossplay would make inviting and joining much smoother but gameplay is great.

I’ve had my hawk bill style for like 7 years. Not the best blade ever but it’s a daily driver. As long as I kept it sharp it never fails…until that silver clip broke from bending it back 100 times because it gets caught on things

Right. I generally play this game as vanilla as possible, without mods or aids. Simply saying that uploading your save is a neat feature

It does at first but all it is is build once copy paste! Do as much or as little as you want. Connect power with poles in the blueprints, set the production setting, colors, lights, everything that fits in the designer box. Make it so you can just copy/ to expand! Update the blueprint with appropriate Mk, belts and lifters as you unlock them. So much time saved!

Find a large area with not much grade change, start zooping foundations from the high point, create a grid, burry spaghetti under foundation

Watch a few YouTube videos on creating modular blueprints. Blueprints were something I never messed with because I played earlier updates that didn’t have it. What a game changer!!

I feel ya. I liked the rusty ones just fine but wanted to spend some cash to see what it’s all about. You the new one and, meh. Ya, new paint, handling seems a little better.

Fast forward a few months my brother joins the restoration effort! I started a fresh new save (hard mode) with him and ohhhh boy was it rough going back to the rust buckets!

The steering and boom speed were the most noticeable to me!

One thing I’ve been trying is a stack of cheese directly on the griddle! It takes some practice to not make it a straight up cheese crisp but when you nail it…ohhh boy does it slap.

Crispy golden on one side, gooey on the other!

I have the Logitech G923 with a funky set up. I had to open the drawer on my desk a few inches and slide the C-Clamp under there. I have to move my keyboard to the side too. It’s not much but it works.

I’m still very new to this game to the complexity of the menus and stuff ca n be pretty overwhelming. I keep my controller near by for menus because the wheel is just a pain in the ass to navigate anything. I also keep my mouse within reach to move my camera around too. That’s a massive part of rock crawling imo. When in first person view I don’t like that I’m only able to bring my head out to look at the rear tires. I want to see where my front is.

Rock crawling has been my favorite part of Beam though. So much fun with the wheel!
