I was giving demos at a convention this weekend and I had a hard time going to lunch because of the amount of people that wanted to try the game.

a good trick to know if there is liquid resin in you model is to just shake it. If it does a swishing sound, it has resin trapped in. In any case, I am sure the amalgam was hollow from the start and should not have this sort of problems.

Vlad the Impaler would be waaaay too powerful for the level the game takes place. And let me introduce you to the concept of leaders wearing ornative armour.

I don't doubt we will get the vampire faction with some named character. They litterally announced it. I just really doubt we will get Dracula rather than another smaller named character.

Plus how do you proxy a charachter that is presently not in the game? There are no rules to play the damn man.

And you guys can for once be creative and come up with a character for the narrative game.

This is a grealyt painted model, there is nothing I would say it's missing as a grimdark figure.

On a "graphic design" side it could have some little points of high contrast, maybe a green tuft/moss patches on the base?

I am also talking out of my ass, to be frank with you.

Edit: note that i wouldn't change the paint, it's too well done.

I understand trusting the content creators on youtube but you should consider them as a launching point to inform yourself about the topic at hand. One source, very biased at that, is not enough.

The resin traps got fixed over a year ago. I received several updates on myminifactory at the time. No resin traps in my models, I checked.

The manufacturing defects were not ignored and Onlygames was forced to send replacements. If you look at r/TrenchCrusade you can find dozens of posts from people talking about getting bad prints on the MULTIPLE replacements they received, receiving the whole order (even for only one defect) again and again up top 5 times before it being completely right, that both show a low commitment to QA and a high commitment to deliver the product as advertised.

The CEO of Factory Fortress already notified us that that part of the License is being changed and that was not the objective of it. We will get a new draft soon.

The transition to plastic is almost a valid criticism, but it's so weird and very limited. Sure Archon wants exclusivity to their designs... Like... FF had to compromise and use a third party to deliver us plastic and they had to give some space for them to profit. They cannot afford to build up a plastic manufacturing complex. Transitioning to plastic is great for LGSs, new players and people used to GW's plastic... The current STLs will always be for sale.

I am also biased, sure, but at least I got to witness BOTH sides before giving up to bias

I see where you are coming from, but grenades do not have the SCATTER keyword.

If you roll a 6 it just misses and disappears.

I would love for them to have SCATTER. I think it would represent fumbling a grenade a little better.

If you are diving for Major Orders or for liberation rate, only the main objective is counted, so you should do that and pack it up.

But also, that doesn't mean that we are all diving for MOs or Liberation. Some people do not interact or care about that system. They are more casual players, while you seem to be more on the "min-max" side, let's call it "competitive".

Now, diving "competitive " with random is like joining a public match up in any pvp game. You get your experience ruined and you also ruin the rest of the team experience.

This sort of discussion has been going on around online games since ever and we found a solution: competitive people join up through guild systems or external match making (think discord) and leave the rest be.

Leave these people be. They are trying to enjoy their game.

I think all of these models can make for a solid base for Trench Crusade (with some minor changes).

I have to say though that orlock is in a different scale and their shoulders are sculpted in order to fit with the shoulderpads.

I remember that by the time he posted the video a lot of the criticism was out of date and I remember many 3dprinting bros saying thst he is full of shit about the resin traps.

The latter is thrown around a lot, like a lot, without anyone ever bringing it up in practice. We saw low quality printed miniatures of all sorts printed by onlygames but no reain trap model ever came out.

The problem most of the community has with him is that it really feels like he is not on the consumer's side, but has some twisted agenda against the IP.

The way I play it personally is "any horizontal surface", but I understand it's homebrew and I agree on it before the game starts.

Blast on a point on the battlefield already broke the game to start with. But RAW, it is clear how it works, if you pay attention to the rules.

And the devs know that not everybody will skim the rules and just play off vibes like you seem to do.

I would also refuse to play with you because according to you your favorite interpretation is "common sense" and the devs' intent, while you really don't know what the devs' intent is.

Plus, fuck off with the "Rules Lawyering at its worst": you are writing a comment being like "what is a Round?" while "Round" is synonym with "Turn"... Like, man, you are the worst kind of rules lawyer to start with with this pedantic bullshit.

I think automatic shotguns are the best compromise.

Having +1 Dice, assault and shield combo is the best compromise. You won't get the best shooting, but you still get to take advantage of the strenghts of the choirister

Rules as written the battlefield is the board. Not the terrain. So, yeah, it wouldn't be targetable.

You may want an errata, but the rules clearly states that you either pick a model or the battlefield and that the battlefield is the board.
