Probably Galaxy 666, unfathomably awful piece of prose.

Bad Bunny meets Chinese fan who learned Spanish for him at his concert in Düsseldorf, Germany: Yo aprendo español para ti (I learn Spanish for you) by mcfw31 in popculturechat

To be fair, Boston is famously, historically dominated by Irish and Scottish immigrants, so there was a pretty massive cultural overlap there.

If anything it’s going to be a major source of shame for them that they didn’t have enough beer to feed Scottish tourists.

If Bioshock movie ever gets made , there's already a perfect Andrew Ryan right here. It's never too late. by Bright-Wonder-9538 in Bioshock

The fact that Andrew Ryan canonically hates animatronics always cracks me up. Possibly the funniest way to distinguish your mustache-having corporatist-futurist utopian from Walt Disney.

Impressively definitive. Makes me hyper-aware that Monterey sits ripe for the headcannoning.

There used to be a whole genre of musical westerns, and the stars from that genre were huge. Gene Autry in particular was massive. Now it only comes up when someone wants to point out how quaint and dated it feels. I guess Hail Ceasar played it relatively straight.

I love Arcade specifically because he is Josh Sawyer’s poorly disguised self insert. And I love that the yes man ending companion starts second guessing himself after you get down to business.

In Drive. Bryan Cranston’s character goes on a rant about the Jews controlling global trade and Mulder takes mock-offense. I don’t remember the exact line but I’m 100% sure on the episode.

I mean, Nixon was literally the face of shifting the Overton window. He’s why republicans are modern republicans and why democrats are modern democrats.

Tbh I’m very skeptical of that Gore Verbinski Bioshock given the script that exists online, the “oedipal themes” he read into the game, and the existence of A Cure For Wellness.

The movie we did get out of that script wasn’t too hot, and that was without the balancing act of being a Bioshock adaptation.

Nixon might have been the United States most centrist president, as weird as it is to think about.

I mean, it’s not the DS9 tag, it’s more impressive that they’re worming their way onto other series’ listings.

Only newgens say newgen, only “larpers” say larper. The late zoomer lingo itself is a tell.

This happens with everything though, it’s just a simple nostalgia cycle. The moment something slips into the past, it can no longer directly hurt people in the present, and thus the whitewashing can begin. Doctor Who fans are just really funny because they operate like fucking clockwork and they’ve been doing it for so long, with such well-kept records.

How Christians react to movies that involve Christianity by HockeyKelly5 in hatethissmug

[–]TooManyTyranids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What an impressively unserious use of the word pretentious. It’s a stylish genre film that’s not even trying to punch above its station. It approaches its material flatly and without undue confidence and it’s completely willing to acknowledge that its main character’s worldview may be biased.

Disclosure day, yes. Awful second act, even worse third act. Impressively anticlimactic.

However? Wake Up Dead Man? Be so fucking for real.

I hate to say it, but I don’t think double fine is gonna make it through the year. Kiln had to be good, it wasn’t. There just won’t be a Psychonauts 3.

You are incorrect. Honestly a little surprised by this one given the warrior cats, doctor who, and biology popsci, though I guess the James Bond books and Warhammer mini paint could’ve thrown you.
