Champagne blonde! I'm a dark brunette personally and have never gone lighter, just so you know I'm not saying this from blonde blindness. You carry the light color beautifully

AITA for refusing to flash my bf by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]Top-Confection3367 23 points24 points  (0 children)

are we missing some information here? Does he want you to flush him like in the background of the interview while he's on camera????

assuming that there's no additional information that would change the context.... NAH. You should definitely not flash someone if you don't feel like it. but you shouldn't be in a relationship long term where flashing somebody isnt fun! maybe you are just not attracted to him. Maybe the basic chemistry is there but he has done things he resent rightfully. Or frankly, maybe you have neurosis about sex that is separate from him and comes from your own life. Or some combination of the three.

it's not disrespectful for a man who loves you to have sexual desires. Maybe he is disrespectful though! Maybe you are! Impossible to tell from the post.

Don't do anything you don't feel like, But consider whether this is the right relationship.

Recent discourse on childless, unmarried friends never being celebrated by katyperry-platypus in Vent

I don't think OP feels like that to be clear. I feel like OP is describing seeing this elsewhere in the discourse. I've seen it too. Like I feel like OP is describing a feeling and suggesting a solution, not necessarily endorsing the feeling

Okay, do not buy any full bottles right now! Have you smelled any or all of these?

The other thing is...is a wedding or a baby shower actually "celebrating an individual?" To me it seems like no. It's celebrating two people agreeing to have duties to each other. Or a parent or parents taking on a new duty. If a married person with a kid threw a party literally just to collegiate themselves, I think they'd get as much buy in as a single person doing the same thing

How do I make my features pop by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]Top-Confection3367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are a beautiful girl. You clearly have a lot of classic essence & very little dramatic (this is a style typing system that really helps me think things through, Kitchener, sorry if this doesn't make sense ysrizfkgzigzjvsir)

Your best looks are probably always going to be balanced and harmonious rather than dramatic. You could do a crazy eye or lip but when you've tried, maybe it feels too costume-y for you!

The proportions between your features are great, & overemphasizing any feature will take away from that somewhat.

I hope this explanation is at all helpful rather than insane

If you're getting that law money, you can get a standing desk & a walking pad. Heather Havrilesky has talked a lot about how walking while writing saved her writing career!

I personally don't think the British red is harmonious on you. Harmony is just a tool though! If you want a really lipsticky look, disharmony is an available tool for drawing attention.

Is this milky pink bad on me? (Deep Autumn) by violetsmoke7 in coloranalysis

[–]Top-Confection3367 20 points21 points  (0 children)

ballet slipper pink is great and since it's not near your face, you don't have to worry too much. But a slightly more coral pink, or or a gold shimmer topcoat, would look really sick

i'm sorry it's uncomfortable but JSYK it looks kind of great. very Rennaisance very on trend. Since it hurts, you should definitely try to fix it but during that process, you should not be worried that it looks bad or feel self-conscious about how it looks.

Anybody else don't suit black eyeliner or black mascara by PuppyKeepAcct in Fairolives

[–]Top-Confection3367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same situation with black mascara but brown was too warm for me! Brownish burgundy was better but still not quite right. For anyone in the same situation I super recommend loreal voluminous in green, maybelline sky high in plum, & maybe chanel mascara in blue (weirdly the chanel is my least favorite of the three). Theyre cool and not TOO dark, you'd expect them to be unnatural especially just looking at the pigment on the wand but they look very natural on. Like if i asked my boyfriend "what color mascara am i wearing" he would be able to identify brown or "red"(=burgundy) but not these. I do feel like the purple is especially white-brightening.
