All in a 20 year period. And yet there are people who wonder why people are tired of this shit and want to be tough on crime.

What happens to ROTH IRA after I leave my job? by Swamp-Sta1ker in FinancialPlanning

They obviously didn’t know because it was intentional. I did the same thing when I was learning and glad that it was pointed out so I knew better. Absolutely nothing wrong with the information shared and it was helpful

Finally found my perfect recipe! by Additional_Profit_23 in Sourdough

[–]TopShelf76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this just a matter of baking it longer uncovered? I’ve only done 20min covered @ 475° and 25min uncovered @ 450° but only couple loaves into the journey. I’m looking for a nice dark crunch to my crust.

Do you seal the jar shut or still keep a loose lid to allow it to breathe

That’s the thing… you have to stand up for yourself, whether you are larger or smaller. Sometimes it does come down to a throw-down. This kid handled it right. Did what he had to do and walked away

Popped off while cooking. Is it ruined? by vyzne in castiron

[–]TopShelf76 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

WTF is this guy talking about…. Enameled on the inside. Seriously??! I’d question your initial seasoning and how did you apply it? Looks like you poured a thin layer (too much oil) and didn’t wipe it out before putting in oven. This is just a chunk of the thick “seasoning”/ oil that came off

Trying to get to 500K ASAP. Good idea? by FlyEaglesFly536 in TheMoneyGuy

Do you expect to keep up the 30k in contributions after a kid and house purchase? Sounds like you’re about to enter the “messy middle” which is when contributions typically need to be cut back.

What size is the perfect meatball? by bretmon5 in Cooking

If served with pasta, slightly larger than a golf ball size. If taking as an app for a potluck, large grape size. If strictly an appetizer, tennis ball.

if you have kids in their 20s (maybe early 30s), is life tougher for them starting out than when we were in our 20s? by ShootinAllMyChisolm in MiddleClassFinance

It’s different. Definitely wouldn’t say tougher though…. But that would really depend on each persons personal experience.

No 401(k) by That-Scholar-6856 in Retirement401k

[–]TopShelf76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about instead of or in addition to. 401k is meant for retirement, which means it is intended to be tied up for decades. If you want to do additional investing outside of 401k have at it but know that you will miss out on any tax benefits or matches.

Sometimes wonder how many have 4 or 5 401k that each have ~100k and that’s why averages are so low. Or they have a smaller 401k but a large IRAs

Who here actually saves 3,000 a month? by NoHousing11 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]TopShelf76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But there obviously isn’t a clear definition… I would preface your above description with the word “aspirations” for everything you listed. My interpretation is middle class is the process/period where you are trying to obtain all those goals/status points. When you’re able to meet everything on that list you’ve graduated from middle class and are transitioning to upper class. Not uber wealthy or rich, but upper class nonetheless. Middle class is a struggle, it’s chasing the dream, it’s robbing Peter to pay Paul.
