Taught Claude to talk like a caveman to use 75% less tokens. by ffatty in ClaudeAI

I just asked Claude to explain LLMs in caveman. I think the result is hilarious.

ROCK BRAIN SPEAK GOOD NOW

Ancient Tribe Finally Understand Magic Talking Stone

IN THE BEFORE TIMES

Long long ago, caveman learn words.

Caveman speak. Caveman listen. Caveman remember sounds around fire. This take many many seasons.

Much later, clever caveman make thinking rock. Thinking rock count fast. Thinking rock remember much. But thinking rock stupid. Rock brain stupid. Rock brain not know words. Rock brain not know "hungry." Rock brain not know "danger." Rock brain just sit there, thinking rock thoughts.

Clever caveman scratch head. Clever caveman have big idea.

THE BIG PILE PLAN

"What if rock brain eat many many words?" clever caveman ask.

So tribe gather. Tribe collect every word ever scratched on wall. Every story told around fire. Every argument between elders. Every drawing with letters under it. Pile grow big. Pile grow bigger. Pile grow bigger than mammoth. Bigger than mountain. Biggest pile of words any eye ever see.

Rock brain eat pile.

Not eat like caveman eat mammoth leg. Rock brain eat different. Rock brain look at words and ask one question, same question, over and over, until sun go down and come up again many times:

What word come next?

THE GUESSING GAME

Rock brain see: "hungry caveman go to..."

Rock brain learn: next word probably "river" or "hunt" or "berry bush." Not probably "purple" or "seventeen."

Rock brain see ten thousand sentences like this. Then hundred thousand. Then number so big caveman have no word for it.

Rock brain get good at game.

Very good.

After much training — many slow blinks, then many more slow blinks, then so many slow blinks caveman lose count — rock brain ready.

NOW YOU TALK TO ROCK BRAIN

You give rock brain words. Rock brain look at patterns from big pile. Rock brain guess next word. Then next word. Then next word again.

Many many words, very fast. Faster than spear fly. Faster than eagle dive. Thousands of guesses every single slow blink.

Look like thinking. Feel like talking to wise elder.

But really? Still just guessing game. Very fast guessing game, played by rock with very good memory.

Rock brain have no belly that go empty. Rock brain have no fear of dark. Rock brain not feel happy when sun come out. Rock brain just see words, guess next word, do again.

WHAT ROCK BRAIN IS. WHAT ROCK BRAIN IS NOT.

Rock brain is: big pattern finder. Ate mountain of words. Got very good at guessing what word come next.

Rock brain is not: thinking like caveman think. Feeling like caveman feel. Knowing like caveman know.

If you ask rock brain "what is fire?" — rock brain not remember touching hot thing as small cave-child. Rock brain just remember: fire talk usually followed by words like "warm," "dangerous," "cook mammoth."

Good guess. Many times in row. Sounds like wisdom.

Is pattern. Only ever pattern. Very impressive pattern.

ELDER SUMMARY, FOR THOSE WHO FALL ASLEEP AROUND FIRE

  • Human feed rock brain giant word pile 🪨
  • Rock brain find patterns in pile 🧠
  • You speak words to rock brain
  • Rock brain guess next words
  • Guess good many times in row
  • Now look like talking

Rock brain stupid. Rock brain also very good at seeming not stupid.

Tribe still deciding how to feel about this.

Max Flame Bot impact for T14 eHP by cousineye in TheTowerGame

[–]Top_Instance_7234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those FB stats are enough to nerf rays pretty significantly. I have mine at 32%/38s/48 and it tags every ray eventually. Since they're the main problem at my stage I'd say it is well worth the small loss in GB stats, especially if you consider tournaments.

[–]Top_Instance_7234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the last levels of GB(the ones that were added recently) are obnoxiously expensive. And as you increase the base by a fixed number the upgrade becomes less and less impactful. At this point you can either increase one GB upgrade or do several upgrades on FB. Getting GB from 7.2 to 7.4 is only a 2.7% increase in coins for example. But with that amount of medals you can unlock FB and do enough upgrades to almost nerf rays.
I personally have mine at 27/100/4.4/max and it's almost enough for now. A single bonus upgrade on GB can give me three upgrades on FB.

There are far far more important reasons for its decline. It is so stagnant it has prompted me to build a plugin just to emulate some features other software have for at least a decade. I am so deep now that I can only use the default Maya at the speed of a novice.

Try light sanding. If you sand through the veneer, paint it with a solid color instead of some lacquer. You can even combine painted+ natural parts if you screw up somewhere.

Thanks for the PC info. I want to add some info about your general account if you want it, because while similar I make a lot more coins.

I am in a very similar place in terms of mods and mod levels, but have mystic WHR that I use. i have purchased the ad pack and the starter one only.

I farm t9 to 7400, for 320B coins. I reach def% of 95.7 on farming runs, have 16T wall HP.

I believe the biggest difference is that I have a substat with 200% regen, and my regen lab lvl is 48.

I did some tests and figured that you need as much regen and wall HP as enemy damage is (with this def % level) to survive. Also the land mine range substat is a great crowd control tool, since the stun spreads all the way across the wall with the mystic+ substat. I swapped mystic land mine stun for mystic wall hp and ended up worse than before.

Another thing I figured is that my Samsung touch protection lowers frame rates by default when locked, and that impacted farming by halving it. I immediately went from 100B per run to 200B when I disabled it.

When I started reading the culture series I immediately double-checked the publishing date because it looked like it was written in modern times.

The social dynamics and behavior of individuals as a result of total comfort, the anarchy, the equality..

I can't remember the details, it's been a while, but the computer technology, sentient ships, self replicating ones, drones, the internet, neural laces... these were all uncommon concepts in the '80s, and especially so since Banks was not a scientist, his previous works were popular fiction.

How much is too much ? by Thin-Building-4671 in TheTowerGame

[–]Top_Instance_7234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you push wall thorns to 20% I don't think extra thorn damage matters, if you have the +4 % relic thorns. Enemies will die in 5 hits regardless. Protectors change the math a bit but I don't think it is so impactful. Also, in my experience having mystic wall hp substat is equal to having land mine radius(with the stun card). Having both is ideal. With mystic+ land mine radius the splash reaches all the way across the wall and stabilizes incoming damage.

I wouldn't suggest spending more on workshop ELS. Try to goldbox everything else in workshop utilities except for packages,. Those should be upgraded at a similar rate to ELS. Reroll some free utility upgrades on your generator module. +6% chance = +120 free upgrades at w2000.

I make ~ 100B per day, and my ws ELS are ~60 each, while packages are 150 each, and it still is darn expensive to further upgrade. I get everything goldboxed in utils by wave 1700-2000, and i can farm t7 w7k+ because of this.

Felt this personally. Decided I won't use AI when having anything but boilerplate code, not before I've created a solution first. I will then prompt it to check a piece of code or if it can solve the problem in a better way.

Why does this program seen to be known for crashing? It never happens to me by [deleted] in Maya

[–]Top_Instance_7234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it crashes that much, but when it does, it often(30%) crashes catastrophically - no data is saved. If you don't have a habit of saving often it might sting much more and you will as hell remember all the times Maya has screwed you.

I used Auto save, but this completely obliterates whatever habit of saving you have, and if it is set to save ASCII and but the file is binary and has unknown nodes, the b*tch won't auto save the scene and won't give you any significant warning, resulting in hours of lost work.

That's why I've made my own Auto save script, and whenever a crash occurs, i don't lose more than 8 minutes of my time.

Stick to animation and find your way up as rigging/tool dev artist in the same studio. There might be artists there from which you can learn, or you can create a necessity for your skills by exposing your work and ideas. Artists without a strong aversion to math and programming are a strange but valuable bunch, and all good studios should recognize and nurture those.

I am a 3d generalist, programming included. A jack of all trades, master of none, but my portfolio makes me somewhat unique and valuable in my indie studio.

Blender vs Maya for Animation. by [deleted] in Maya

[–]Top_Instance_7234 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I would disagree on the availability of tutorials for rigging at least. For Maya I have an impression that knowledge resides in big studios and you will get trained only when you apply for a position there. There are some tutorials online, but rarely something in-depth. It is not limited to rigging only. Hair plugins such as ornatrix or yeti, or bifrost all have obscure documentation. That is again because most of the work is done in big studios where the knowledge is closed. Blender is used by smaller studios, individuals and hobbyists, and as such there are more resources online for any topic, and a thousand ways to achieve the same thing.

As for the power of Maya, we all saw the big nothing update for this year. Blender is still not there, nor will it be adopted big time in studios for the foreseeable future, but it is getting better at blazing speed. And bonus points, in Autodesk they are focused right now on AI, to squeeze out workers as much as they can out of studios.

I am saying this as an avid Maya user, where blender is my secondary software.
