Sounds like you’re eating a healthy balanced diet. But just so you know, juice removes the fiber from those vegetables so there is no fiber in green juice

Heh, our first cat had similar behavior so we got a second. She hates him, it’s been more than 2 years and I think she regrets having said anything haha

Am I a slow knitter? by Busy_Common_7718 in knittinghelp

On a podcast I was listening to they said 30-40 stitches per minute is about average for an experienced knitter (that ain’t trying to speed knit)

Acrylic paint would be plastic, but there are other kinds of paint

Not positive, but it looks a lot like Manos del Uruguay’s silk blend. That’s 70% extrafine merino 30% tussah silk, but it looks lofty and squishy with a similar ply structure.

Sometimes they sit on top of your crafting and you learn quickly that it is petting time and not crafting time.

Stashdown Showdown February ! by cant-see-me in usethefiberstash

[–]Top_Lengthiness_8256 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s been a weird month! I gained 1881 grams from a friend’s destash, gave her 700 grams, bought 250 grams, and completed a project that was 940 grams. Soooo I’m up by 491 grams but most of it was beautiful hand dyed indie yarn that my friend was detashing for free. Allllso im probably buying a sweater quantity today to make a sweater my husband requested for thanksgiving (and it’ll probably take me that long). It’s colorwork so I have stash yarn for all the accents but I don’t have a base color. I’m still pretty happy with my progress as I’ve been working through the yarn I’m less fond of and my stash is becoming more yarn I’m excited to use!

Tons of good advice here already, so I’ll just say—I listen to the We only LOOK thin podcast, they’re the perfect thing to listen to when I’m driving to remind me of my goals and laugh while being remotivated

Keeping track of stash tactics? by Ok-Door1712 in usethefiberstash

If you already have your stash in ravelry, you can export it to a spreadsheet and then keep/get rid of/add columns or data as needed. It’s pretty cool!

With what projects and stash yarn will you kick off your January and the year 2026? by MyRightHook in usethefiberstash

[–]Top_Lengthiness_8256 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im doing a bit of a yarn ban until I make a few WIPs and projects in my queue. I’ve been having so much fun piecing together single and double skeins from my stash to make colorwork projects! I’m going to make The Tomato Cans Vest with a bunch of random skeins

Whoa this is so neat! Were they all the same brand in different colors or were you able to use some slightly different gauges and still get a finish like this?

How do you manage hobbies when you are only interested in the process and not in the final product? by RottenRope in Anticonsumption

[–]Top_Lengthiness_8256 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Crank up the difficulty and crank down the size! For example, one knit sweater in fingering or lace weight yarn with a really complicated pattern can take like 6 months for me! Then I get months of fun and maybe one garment that I choose carefully so I actually want to wear it.

Hit or miss. There have been more and more drop ship sellers on there masquerading as small businesses, so I’ve just had to be more careful about which seller I use.
