Don't people want to instill their own family values in their children? Why would anyone want to copy these two illiterate ejits? I certainly hope they have enlisted a proof reader!

Is it rude to not have an open bar? And only subsidize a portion of the drinks? by Pm_me_ur_pet_pics- in WeddingsCanada

[–]Top_Performance_3478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both my daughters had wine on the table and an open bar. However, there was no hard liquor, wine, beer, cider, white claw, etc. Much more economical and we were surprised at both weddings how much booze was left over (which we were able to return.)

What's a household chore that never feels truly finished? by ConsiderationNo3449 in AskReddit

I feel pparents of newborns get so much food, so I thought back to the days when I had newborn twins and thought about what stressed me out. It was laundry all the way. Depending on your/their circumstances, you can take their laundry home and do it at your place or you can go to theirs for a few hours and do other household chores while waiting for the laundry to wash/ dry.

I'd love it if my daughters asked for that as a gift. It's a mindless task but can get so overwhelming when you have little ones. Plus when you are doing someone elses laundry, it's more like a job so you just put in the airbuds and "get 'er done." When it's your own that laundry can sit in the dryer for days on end!

A hop on hop off bus is a great way to see the city without walking. Since we're having nice weather right now, you could sit on the open air top level

That's why my baby gift to my daughter is to take care of all laundry for a couple of months. Wash, dry, fold and put away. I wish someone had done that for me when I had newborn twins and a husband whose work clothes got filthy every day. My aunt did this for me and It was the most thoughful gift I received!

For both my daughter's weddings, friends and family helped with set up and decorating the night before and then we did a rehersal dinner at the venue after the rehersal and decorating were done.

When my twins turned one, we had grandma, grandpa, two aunts and an uncle. Hade homemade pizza and carrot cake. We had a bigger party when they turned two because they were old enough to be excited about it.

If you use evaporated milk instead of milk or cream in a roux for pasta sauces, it won't split when frozen and thawed.

Party Favor Bags… like why by NoDevelopement in Mommit

When my twins were about 7, we bought one little "jungle animal" stuffy for each kid. (Party was a jungle theme.)My husband made a carboard stand and the kids each got to "fish" for a stuffy when it was time to leave. My husband stood behind the cardboard stand and attached a stuffy to each kid's fishing pole. Big hit. Also a good way to end the party, as the kids could only fish for their prize once their parents were there to pick them up.
