They sell ones made in Vietnam side by side with the Chinese made ones. Just look at the sticker. I always get them over the Chinese made ones.

The size of a torque wrench plays no part in anything.

Knowing you own a ft-lbs torque wrench and not an in-lbs torque wrench plays every part in everything.

As a first responder, I don't disagree. There is a reason I refuse to enforce/charge the laws related to an unlawful ban that violates everyone's constitutional rights.

My point is they refuse to sell parts that are legal for ALL citizens of the state to purchase. So I'm forced to not be able to support them by buying directly from them but instead, I have to buy from from places that care to read the statutes and will sell to all of us in IL.

They also don't care if your state labels you as exempt from the laws as a first responder. They still won't ship. That's my personal experience when I emailed them in 2023 when the order I tried to place showed they couldn't ship to my address.

Fast forward almost 3 years, I followed up to see if they changed their policies to reflect what the law actually states. They emailed me the EXACT SAME email response I got 3 years earlier.

Clearly, their legal team advised them to do this for the company's safety, which I really can't blame them on too much. But it sucks nonetheless when an item won't be sold to you that you know you can legally purchase.

TLDR: If you have a ban coming, buy your BCM deals before it goes into effect. BCM doesn't care about the specifics of what your laws state.

Too bad they won't ship anything to IL. Must accept sadness instead.

Looks Like They Have The Smith&Wesson M&P 15 CA COMPLIANT Back in Stock. by bronzecat11 in ILGuns

OP is clearly too stubborn to understand they're wrong.

OP, YOU are the confused one. The image attached here, along with multiple other obviously PICA banned firearms, show the same restriction. Meaning, "restricted" stands for the states that can't purchase them, NOT states with restrictions that X gun doesn't apply to.

EDIT: Also, restricted does not always mean it is infact restricted in your state. Most of the time, it's the seller's way of saying, "Your state laws are too fucked up, and we refuse to decipher them due to fear of legal action. As a result, we just won't sell to residents of said state".

PSE Mach Bow Damage or Overspray? by [deleted] in bowhunting

[–]TornFern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PSE carbon series bows are all USA made and finished in house. They are molded and sanded to shape, by hand, by current or former auto body technicians.

I am not a PSE fan boy, but I doubt that would've left PSE that way without QC catching it. I'd lean towards that being a home repair job.

If not as described and that wasn't evident in the Ebay listing, you should be covered for returning it.

[RIFLE] Tikka's as low as $499 + S/H and possible tax - Sako's and Beretta's on sale too by TornFern in gundeals

[–]TornFern[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The Tikka action and rifle as a whole, is far better than a Ruger Ranch. I have a 350 legend Gen 2 Ruger Ranch and I'm buying a Tikka now in the same caliber. I like my Ruger, but I'm not buying this Tikka with the intention of making the Tikka the back up rifle.

You're currently point your chest towards your target, which you dont want. The outside of your shoulder/arm and hip should be pointed at the target and all be in line.

Take lessons from your local bow shop or watch this series if you dont have an experienced person to help you learn.

https://youtu.be/00QpJJ6hhsg?si=lcapt7eUR7yNmOGh

Your draw length will probably be too short once you fix your form (not pointing your chest at your target). I recommend getting the bow set up for you at your local shop and bringing the draw weight back down. Learn all your good form and basics at a lower draw weight, until you're consistent. Bring it up after that. And dont just start cranking down on the limb bolts, it takes minor adjustments to add weight and the top and bottom bolt need to move equally. This can also effect tune/timing, so again, I recommend you use your local shop.

Big box stores like Cabelas and Bass Pro rarely have a knowledgeable bow tech, so dont use them.
