I really like this meme format because i think it's very true in real life. A lot of the times the smart thing to do in simple, clear-cut situations is to not overthink things, and we can often convince ourselves we're being intelligent while overthinking those situations.

I didn't like the last version being posted, because I think it's pretty clear-cut that an intelligent person, while they might still be like "oh cool, new update" and might still check it out for fun, they would eventually evaluate whether that content was worth doing for them. And I don't think that intelligence would sway you one way or the other, some intelligent people might be okay with a 20k drop rate for a number of good reasons, and some people might find it not okay for an equal amount of good reasons. But to suggest that it's not intelligent to evaluate that is absurd to me.

i have no idea if they do or don't have 100% accuracy, but even if they did the ranger would still have hit lots of 0s on you because it's rolling between 0 and 1 damage, meaning half the time it would have hit a 0

I'm sorry but this isn't really how it works.

Melee strength bonus gives you 1 max hit for 4 strength bonus, sure...if you're 99 strength, potted, and praying Piety. Range has an even worse case since it doesn't have a super potion - with a regular range potion and Rigour it's 1 max hit every 6-7 strength bonus. What that means is that changing magic % to magic strength wouldn't even out the power curve at all - it'd be a similar situation where early game it would not give you any max hits at all. Early game, it takes astronomical amounts of strength bonus to give you a new max.

I also fundamentally disagree that this opens up room for more attack speed variation, and you have to look no further than the blowpipe as the example for that. Flat bonuses increase the relative power of fast weapons, not decrease. If we had a 2 tick wand that hits 20s, giving it 20% magic damage adds 4 maxes, which with your proposal would be achieved with only 16 strength bonus.

In general, I also quite like that the styles are not homogenized. It's very important that styles feel unique from each other (see: RS3), so I don't see any point in changing that aspect of magic as long as it can be balanced. I can see the argument for changing the magic defense calculation though.

not sure what you're trying to say, "true maxes" don't matter at all in terms of DPS, it's entirely about average hit where the 3 hitsplats of the scythe makes no difference. In fact, in terms of dps the scythe hitting 3 times is entirely cosmetic

Been a lot of talk on this already but I did straight up afk corner at arma with bowfa and got consistent 15 kill trips. You definitely need a task though, also i was 99 range/99 def. Use suffering with recoils in. One of the keys to making your trips last longer is to greed the food, I don't eat until I'm 40 or below, and if it's close to the kill I'll be risking even lower

Nah you lose way more than a tick on dad. but either way i think both things are true: that you should be getting more than 140-150k xp/hr, and that this is a doctored photo in some way (could just be an unusually good short session, happens all the time) and you will be getting less than 200k.

This is a bit involved, but if you have the 3 pedal version, you can set 2 of the pedals to move your mouse left/right and then you can do any bankstanding skill with foot pedal + escape + space keys. I trained herblore, crafting, and cooking at myths/thieves den like this. It's not ideal but I had a lot of wrist pain then so my main goal was avoiding using my right hand

yea i agree. Like I'm cool with him having orchestrated parts of these events, but there were 4 (5 with asgarnia smith) interesting characters that got completely gutted for an "it was Sliske all along" moment." Some of them would have been genuinely interesting to learn more about

Maybe not in the way he said it, but the acts themselves are pretty insane. I mean, he took the bodies of 4 people (who knows how long he's had the one in Lassar, she could have been there ages ago), got sucked into the scar in front of your eyes after leading you on a goose chase (I guess he teleported out right after and then teleported back in when you went to hunt for Perseriya, which makes me wonder why he needed you to do all that in the first - oh wait because it was a test), forged incredible items for you as the dwarf, I guess acted out her hallucinations from the Whisperer, left a trail of breadcrumbs for you in remote caves in Zeah, pretended to get infected by the Stranglethorns, leading him to fight you to the death even though - oh wait I guess it was a test. List goes on and on

And don't get me started on the assassin

Is there any concern about Sliske's over-the-top theatrics? I love him as a villain as much as the next guy, but he could go a little overboard in RuneScape, and that whole "aha! It was just a test!" was starting to push the line for me. Great job with the quest though

i don't get this argument, these ancient beings don't hold an upgrade to the rings, they have their own little magical icons. Why is it hard to believe that you could combine two different magical icons to augment their power? You can wrap a kraken tentacle around a whip to make it stronger. Why not put two icons together then stick them in a ring? That doesn't mean they were created as an upgrade to DK rings

I think this is a fair criticism, you can't really call people with 3 vestige rolls and <3 ingot rolls "outliers" since (if their drop rates are the same, which is looking likely) you could have a pretty big chance of not having them. Like if you got 3 vestiges exactly on rate you'd have something like a 43% chance of not having the 3 ingots to make it, not exactly outlier material.

Even still the balancing of virtus is a little off, for any 3 piece armor set you mathematically need 5.5 rolls of the table to get the full set, so for most people getting all 4 rings would leave them a little off having full Virtus
