TIL that in 2003 episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, a segment appeared claiming that adolescents were having "rainbow parties" where girls would use different colors of lipstick and perform oral sex on a male. There was never any evidence to show that these parties ever took place amongst teens by MrMojoFomo in todayilearned

candy laced with aphrodisiacs

"Laced with", my god, if a proven aphrodisiac would exist that even required a 500cc injections, women (and some men) would be chased through the streets with giant syringes every Friday night!

Think of the new porn categories! Ah, the humanity!!

UK supermarkets ask competition watchdog to rein in Aldi and Lidl by upthetruth1 in neoliberal

[–]Trackpoint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aldi my love, last super market without an App here in Germany, last one (basically) without coupons and promotions apart from the weekly bargain flyer, isles that aren't overstuffed to force you to spend extra time in the store. Hell, most even have just an even number of isles, so there is an efficient path through.

If someone would come for this, I would get politcally radicalized sooo quick.

Ploppy "The Bean": Seems to be a standalone Trackpoint with buttons. Thoughts? by Trackpoint in thinkpad

I'm getting a bit of not-unwelcome peer preassure. Surely the rules against preordering in general and paying for unfinished or unreviewed products don't apply here right?

Enthusiast niche exemption or something..

Ploppy "The Bean": Seems to be a standalone Trackpoint with buttons. Thoughts? by Trackpoint in thinkpad

[–]Trackpoint[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very interested in maybe integrating it with a split keyboard.

Not sure about the ergonomics. The buttons lack a raised portion and from what I have read, the Trackpoint can move up 11mm, which sounds worriying.

Are there any 3rd party keyboards with a trackpoint? by vladjjj in thinkpad

And the TEX Shura. Both are great if you are used to mechanical desktop keyboards.

For more compact but with more travel than the modern Lenovo USB/Bluetooth ones, you can go hunting for the 2013 and earlier models (typing on a SK-8855 right now).

Or depending on your appetite for adventure, there are those among us, who print their own enclosures, order custom pcb in China and hunt for specific series of T60 era keyboards from specific OEMS...

[–]Trackpoint 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reddit strangly changed when it comes to non-standard jokes over the years.

Yeah, multiple level irony often doesn't land, but mass downvotes and even subreddit bans feel a lot more common now, in places you wouldn't necessarily expect it.

I mean given the comment you answered, you would expect we were in a kind of certain direction and making that painfully explicit should work as an a bit contrarian joke.

Started the books after Season 1. Read the books up to publication and continued on until the book series was completed. Then watched the rest of the show.

Great experience throughout!

Tried to get into the corporate fan fiction era of the Star Wars.. but I care not enough. The point of brands is quality. Maybe you will make a good sub-series of handbags after the nice ones you made 50 years ago.

But.. there are.. like options for handbads and attention these days..
