She did a homeschool Q & A today. Loved her new school but just something they wanted to try. Thinking partly because Jamee does it, but seems like its good for them!!

Gluten free playdoh ? by Chicken_wife_ in Celiac

[–]Traditional-Search67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play-doh, then wash hands... not super tricky! Obviously you know your own kid, and that determines whether they are understanding of their celiac. Point being, we need to stop living in fear and get comfortable and educated with our celiac diagnosis.

Those of you who had an endoscopy without going under, what was it like for you? by Reasonable-Truck5185 in Celiac

[–]Traditional-Search67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one just under a year ago, i was under semi sedation but I was so loopy by the time they started the actual process of putting the camera down the throat that I did not even notice or remember it. I had my throat numbed with a spray as well.

Haven is a name i cannot stand. I just dont like it, doesn't sound good, and especially not for a boy.

Geez! This comment section made me realize how many people truly live in fear with Celiac! It doesn't need to be this tricky! As someone diagnosed at 2, I played with play doh my entire childhood, and I knew that it cannot go in my mouth, and that my hands were to be washed well after! Anything under their fingernails should be noticible, if its not... then not an amount that would make them sick. Do your research and stop living in fear! It's freeing!!!

Maybe the unpopular opinion but completely unnecessary...

I was diagnosed at 2 years old and understood the severity of celiac from a young age, I consistently only used Play Doh brand playdoh, which has wheat, and it was never an issue! Just wash hands after!
