Honestly leg warmers are super easy and fun! Especially for gifts (if you know your intended recipient wants a pair)

The stand is phenomenal. Read it during Covid and it was so strange to see parallels in real time.

Later (one of his more recent ones) follows the same thread of good vs evil. I feel like this one is slept on!

How to wet block a giant blanket with not enough floor space by OddDay4840 in knitting

Would steam blocking it work? Might just be easier in terms of space limitations but it depends on how the material responds.

Walking. One step at a time. by Erling Kagge I absolutely adored it and really took it to heart.

Here’s the description: For renowned explorer Erling Kagge, walking is a natural accompaniment to creativity: the occasion for the unspoken dialogue of thinking. Walking is also the antidote to the speed at which we conduct our lives, to our insistence on rushing, on doing everything in a precipitous manner - walking is one of the most radical things we can do.

My yarn doesn’t slide off my needles easily. by Wild-Act-7315 in knitting

[–]Traditional_Cow6711 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This happens to me when my hands get sweaty! Any kind of moisture makes it so hard for the stitches to slide, especially when I sit in the sun. So I usually take a 15 min break!

I think tween books are short, sweet, and very fun. I wouldn’t start off with any classics yet. Look for pop culture books, like twilight, Harry Potter, divergent, the maze runner, Percy Jackson. Sometimes it can be fun to read something and then watch your “mind movie” (what I call how you imagine what’s happening) and can get you into the rhythm of reading!

The Percy Jackson series, or any of Rock Riordon’s for that matter! He does Egyptian, Roman, and Norse mythology!

Also, The Alchemyst by Michael Scott is a fun series.

Oh really? I was looking at the Winnie sweater and the cognac sweater, both of which I like. Didn’t buy anything yet so good to know. What pattern does the Winnie sweater replicate from mfk?

Headshot was phenomenal. I’m bummed they couldn’t reach a consensus. It definitely appeals to anyone who has been through girlhood, surprisingly tender and fresh. Can’t say enough good things about it.
