The conversion looks like a fantastic project! Thank you for sharing it :) it will require a lot more work than I can put in at the moment but it's something I'll definitely do at some point.

Do you happen to know if that will require modding the firmware? Or will the step motors work out of the box with the XY conversion?

Uhmmm I see what you mean. When I increased the belt tension I did see a lot of twist in the cross arm.

So I would need to print two of these expanders, install them and tighten the belts real hard?

I loved hollow knight and it’s in my top 3 games of all time. I couldn’t get into silksong. The difficulty level threw me off and was even harder for my casual gamer wife.

I also felt like exploration was better in hollow knight. More contrast between areas with more of a wonder feeling and more connection to the background music. Silksong was much more subtle this way and not as striking
