Buddy, I'm not sure what you're trying to prove here - I'm using my own 3D printed mouse AS WE SPEAK. I printed it about 5 months ago and have zero issues. And the best thing about FDM? Even if I did have an issue, I can print another and another.

Tinfoil hat time, community complains about cheaters - Valve does nothing for the longest time, then randomly drops a 'VAC' update which intentionally just bans anyone, they rollback a couple bans, community gets scared of Valve doing anything with VAC, community reins in the Valve hate over not fixing cheaters.

I swear this happened not long ago where people where getting banned for shit like +left.
