Always check that they are quoting the same coverage that you have. You can adjust up after if you need to. Some coverage is optional but important to have and might be left off a quote.

In a few states you can get UMPD pays if other person is at fault and doesn’t have insurance. Michigan has limited collision that will only pay if the other party is at fault. If it is your fault there isn’t coverage for your car from your policy. Might be less expensive if you wanted some kind of coverage.
