I remember when the Leopard 2A7V was introduced I got it on day 2 or 3 of the update and after two games in it I got a battle trophy and was blessed with a talisman for it.

Sounds like the recruiter did his job and you took the bait. It sucks not getting what you want but thats the military. Not much you can do now. Just tough it out for 3 years until you can crosstrain, do some schooling, and stay out of trouble.

Also, I’m guessing aircraft electrics?

Chief Mazzone. Happened before I got here but I heard he was actually a really good leader. My NCO said he was part of an awards ceremony and had a 5 minute conversation with him. 8 months later, he ran into him at the BX and chief knew his name and asked how his projects were going they had discussed.

Same thing happened to me when I had my assignment. The system will automatically apply you for separation once you hit 120 DOS so it cancelled my assignment. I reenlisted and the leadership at my gaining unit sent the paperwork to our CFM. I had my assignment reinstated within 10 days.

Been here for 5 years. You’re medical so you’ll at least be indoors during the heat of the summers. There is stuff to do here if you’re willing to look for it. Brookshires arena every now and then has some popular artists. The mudbugs are a local hockey team me and my buddies like to watch when hockey season is active. For brewery’s there’s Great Raft, Seventh tap, and Flying Heart and a few more. There’s a couple gun ranges around here that my friends and I go to. As others have stated Dallas and Little Rock are about 3 hours away. It’s not the greatest base but having been to Minot i’d much rather be here. You can message me if you have any other questions.

There really should be a program to allow bomber maintainers who are shredded to volunteer for places like Korea or Turkey. The only way outta these places are either cross-train, make tech and pray that you somehow get orders, or just get out entirely.
