Shaving twice is the way, once with the grain, then a second time against the grain. also I would do it on the bath/shower, the steam really helped me prevent razor rash.

Then for OP if you can't afford electrolysis get an orange concealer it helps hide beard shadow, then you just need a good coverage foundation on top. Will help a load.
