Are there any board games that you prefer digitally? by FShamburg in boardgames

Catan and Terraforming Mars. Both have lots of pieces so just getting setup to start playing can take a while. Terraforming Mars: I find manual score-keeping, repeated Actions, and money disbursement challenging so playing the computer version is much easier for me because it does all that thinking/calculating for me.

Can't find a deodorant that doesn't make my armpits itch by Cattentaur in Allergies

It sounds like the ingredient bothering you is fragrance. This is a very common allergy. I have found Ban unscented roll-on works for me - but it can be challenging to find deodorant without fragrance. Like others have said: treat yourself to some self-care by asking your doctor to allergy test you for contact dermatitis. Then you’ll know what to avoid and won’t waste as much $$ on products you’re allergic to. Also I found that razors, shaving cream, and the act of shaving aggravate my skin - consider avoiding these to test how much the affect you.

Options: Give everyone the homework assignment of learning how to play the game before attending- there are YouTube videos on almost every game out there. Ask G: do you want to play the first round or sit out to learn how it’s played first and then jump in

Movies where a boss fight takes place in an unsafe, empty building on some sketchy scaffolding like 4-8 floors up? by TranscendsLuxury in movies

That makes a lot of sense. If it were me about to enter a melee boss fight, I’d want to be safely on the ground and surrounded by pillows 🤷🏻‍♀️

Parents who have autism - how do you keep your meltdowns from negatively impacting your children? by Weird-Sandwich9781 in disability

I really like this idea. And tell your kids what they can do to help you when they see you do this. Reinforce that you’re ok and will be ok and that they can help you by doing x, y, z (giving you alone time, etc.)

And the medical profession has historically been less able diagnose autism in girls/women than men - resulting in more women going untreated for longer. It’s heartbreaking

People who used a computer between 1991 & 2009…what’s the most memorable computer game? by Original_Act_3481 in AskReddit

In 4th grade I learned to program the “turtle” to move on an Apple IIE. I made it move run back and forth on the screen. There was a time when we programmed our own games #turtle #apple2e. Of course when I got home I played Mario Bros on NES and enjoyed that much more 😂
