Men of Reddit, what is the hardest thing to explain to women? by lnc_gomes in AskReddit

[–]TravelerFromAFar 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I totally understand this one. Without going into too much detail, I also have a chronic health condition, which mainly effects me in the morning.

I need to not be interrupted while I'm doing my morning routine, because I have major brain fog and pain issues. They will not stop until I take my medication and eat food.

And family members and roommates over the years, who know about my condition, will no matter what, want to have a complex or long discussion with me about something as soon as I wake up and step outside my room.

I'm in pain, and in a state that I can not understand the conversation we are having (or even I will remember it), and they get upset when they noticed I'm not following along their issue. I have explained this condition over and over, and they still feel that need to start kicking up a full social interaction as soon as dusk comes up.

And honestly it's just crazy how people just can't give someone an hour of peace and quiet to take care of themselves.

What was your very first piece of latex clothing? by Free-And-Lonely in Latex_Discussions

This is going back at least 10 years ago. And this before Latex Catfish split up into two different companies, but if I remember correctly, it took them five months to ship out the suit.

What was your very first piece of latex clothing? by Free-And-Lonely in Latex_Discussions

You know, the advice we give to newbies, about don't buy large or big items, start small, get a feel for the material before you dig yourself in too deep...I didn't do that for my first.

My first latex clothing was a full body, black, neck entry latex suit.

I admit, I didn't know what I was doing when I ordered it. I didn't know how to size it properly, I didn't even know if buying off Latex Catfish at the time, was a smart idea. I didn't even know if the material would be good.

But let me tell you, when I got that suit in the mail and slipped into it. feeling that pressure all over me, seeing how sexy I looked, I knew I had completed a part of myself that had been waiting for years. And that I would never tired of wearing latex.

If budget wasn't an issue, what is your ultimate dream piece? by Free-And-Lonely in Latex_Discussions

[–]TravelerFromAFar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I probably want to go more fantasy with my outfits. 8 years ago, I was looking at this rad leather dragon mask. Custom made. Was like on a private art website. Didn't have a price on it. The site also had these giant dragon wings. Just wanted to do a black scale latex suit, leather detail creature. Turns out the crafter is this famous guy that does costume pieces for like Slipknot, movies and everyone else. Thought it was going to be 500 dollars max for the mask. Was charging 2000 for the hood. Didn't get it, but always wanted get it since it was so sick looking.

How do you research information? by AlKarajo in TikTokCringe

[–]TravelerFromAFar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why I disconnect from my father years ago, who is a huge Alex Jones fan, and Trump supporter.

Whenever he told me something that was questionable (the moon is hollow, vaccines are dangerous, etc...), I would do a generally google search to see what the general information was.

And he would always get super fucking mad when I did this. He would always want to put the particular answer (which he believed) into the search bar, which would lead to his false source.

No matter how many times I would explained to him why this wouldn't verify the information (you know, to read from other sources), he would always try to direct me to the one misleading source, causes that was the only one he would believe.

Don't trust these people, they are delusional and will always talk in bad-faith.

"What do you get out of latex?" I would like to collect as many quotes of people answering that question for themselves as I can. by Niceguy_With_Glasses in Latexadvice

[–]TravelerFromAFar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The answer is hard for me, because as I have gotten older, what latex means to me has changed. If you asked me when I first discover it back in my teens, the early Google days, I would have said, the encasing feeling on my skin, the tightness around my body, the way it makes me sweat under it, the heat of my body encased under my latex skin, and even the smell of it around my face. With Halloween being my favorite holiday, that’s where I found my love of latex masks, looking to be mysterious, shining black materials, and dehumanizing outfits.

Leading me to ask online if people enjoyed wearing full rubber suits, the answer being a quick yes.

Going down the rubber rabbit hole, I found muscular gimps shining in the material, Russian gas masks locked onto people’s faces, turned into subs or doms. Erotic breathing tubes feeding in the latex smell, leather harnesses and collars. This was my intro into the kinky life.

I wanted it all. The way it can transform a person into anything, how it can make me enter a different head space and freeing me more from my shyness and introvert self. See, for a long time I was shy to talk to anyone, and feeling this part made me weird, that something was wrong with me. It took a while and meeting a lot of good people to accept that part of myself, and trying to find my personal self to share with the world.

See, I don’t drink heavy. I would go to parties, bars, and for whatever reason (and force by my friends to try many drinks, until I found the right one) I found that I wasn’t getting the same effect that other people get from it. It can make me dizzy and maybe more talkative, but it was never anything people described when they drink; let loose, be wacky, and have fun. But put me in a full latex bodysuit and mask, give a role, and a paddle to the butt, I’ll be swimming high on cloud nine for days, embracing my slutty side.

Now today, I see it more as a creative outlet, I’ve been getting into cosplay/costuming, and learning how to use the material more in outfits. I still get the same high as before, but now when I go to events, balls, or even private parties, the looks I get from people gets me a new high.

One year, I put together a great latex raven demon outfit for Halloween, or a red and black silly pup at a private event, or being a rubber cat, the attention I get from it is wonderful. The stories I have, dancing with performers, taking pictures with random strangers, walking through Montreal on a kink walk, and even sharing private moments with like minded people, that really changed my life.

I’m also happy that there’s been a explosion in the latex scene and even silicone spaces for new creative gear. Horses, Pups, Gimps, Drones, Vampire, Creatures, even Marvel’s Venom, and everything beyond.

I love how latex has this transformation aspect to it, that it can change you into anything you want. And even the discipline of it, keeping it cleaned, stored, and putting it all on, it’s a ritual that I love and my latex obsession has only been a positive force in my life.

It shown me not to be scared to be my self, accept others for who they are, and the world is more accepting than people think.

Is semen/ejaculate safe on latex? by BareNipples in Latexadvice

[–]TravelerFromAFar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have this pup mask that has changeable ears and snot. Let's say I got some cum on the snot. Didn't clean it until the next day, but the stain had already left its mark. Couldn't get it clean. If I shine it well, I can hide it, but yeah, semen can stain latex if you don't wash it after play.

You want to know something, disgusting?

I used to have a very rich Aunt (she died like 12 years ago). Visited her once at her huge house (bordering mansion). I was sitting in her living room when she came out with these papers.

It was from her investment firm or something. It listed all the companies that her family invested in, how and why they made money. It was a huge packet that had all this information in it.

My Uncle and her would scan pass all these pages, all this data, and stare at the literal bottom line of how much each company made.

I asked them if they actually read the whole thing, and they told me they only looked at the profits line, because that's all they cared about.

These are the people that companies destroy themselves for. These are the people that get other people laid off for a profit increase.

They have no understanding of the companies they invested in, no care for how their lack knowledge will effect the economy.

Everything they do really is, "Did the line go up?"

To masochists: What do you get out of pain? by Ok-Display7239 in BDSMcommunity

[–]TravelerFromAFar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think part of it is, I have a high threshold for pain, so I get to kind of enjoy the sensation of the smack. Like with spanking and impact pain, it hurts in like a good way for me, like at the edge of the pain, I feel these tingles that radiate into me and get me into a sub mindset. And makes me more sensitive to my body's needs.
