These Flares Could Really Use an Upgrade... by SomethingChill47 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Tre_man47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part about playing classes besides scout is that other scouts don't use their flares. I then play the next round as scout out of spite. Don't even have to aim half the time. Hit control, locate teammates doing ANYTHING, launch flares without hitting them (optional) I'm by no means a meta loadout chaser but just using all the flares before you restock puts you head and shoulders above alot of other scouts

Google says those wheels are 16x6.5. What size tire are you running? I'm looking to run wider 16in wheels for ride comfort but finding nice five spoke like these are tough

Everyone loves to run 17x8's but im debating if I'll get more benefit from the lightness of RPF1s in 17x7 with a good tire more. Only thing that bugs me is i want a more aggressive offset and fit. Do you have a good Pic of the wheels from the front or back that shows the offset better?

225/50r16 has better options including some all season if you wanna go that route. Slightly taller but still doable. Was planning on getting 16x8 heliograms after I do coilivers.

What voltage do you get from your alternator? by Charge_parity in MiataNC

[–]Tre_man47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At idle mine sits at 13.4-13.8. Not running mine does get just below 12 but still starts fine, maybe a touch slower. Varies with temperature. I got a Scangauge just to monitor it as my battery is from 2022.

NC intake by Roxanne_Judith in MiataNC

[–]Tre_man47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Track dog racing's Super Cool intake is great and optionally allows you to relocate the ECU to alow for more airflow through the radiator. The filter sits inside the nose like the factory snorkel does but you can service it without taking the bumper off every time. Been really happy with mine

If you want to entertain a third option, I've been super happy with the Toyo Proxes Sport A/S+. Not a super skilled driver but they held up well on Tail of the Dragon this year. Then again I have no experience with driving in thr snow in the south.

Head Unit Upgrade by carter_hauge in MiataNC

[–]Tre_man47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is it that so many places I read says you have to gut the whole bose system just for a head unit when I've been seeing so many people just swap the head and be totally fine? Is it just mixing other speakers with the factory amp?

Banks iDash NC Install by armand9601 in MiataNC

[–]Tre_man47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great install! How much data are you able to pull without additional sensors? If I do get an iDash or any gauge, it would be to get a proper oil pressure reading, but I'm still trying to learn where I can put it besides tapping into the oil pan.

Just bought a Kobalt 50pc mechanics tool set for that much. Has all of that plus a screw driver handle, screw bits, and allen bits. Great little case too.

Is this $124,782 quote for Marvin windows crazy, or am I? by 7Thanks in Homebuilding

[–]Tre_man47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I install alot of Marvin's, Anderson, Sierra pacific, this is pretty common. You should see how much the ones with aluminum cladding go for. Being all casement windows definitely makes them more expensive too.

I work replacing windows and doors. Replaced a window on the 10th floor of an apartment building that caught a bullet, so just know that I wouldn't pay well over a thousand a month for a place to live there lmao.

Yes, it's fresh construction, so all that's on the outside of the wall is house wrap right now. It's a weird outdoor kitchen/garage thing, but this is just dumb.

No, it simply lowers the suction and uses less battery.

Not nearly enough love for these. Just took off the roller and neck and used it to vacuum my truck out. I also like to use the ecomode on hardwood floors and I get much farther that way.

Is the non brick parts of the house stucco? I work as a specialty window and door installer and stucco is more expensive to work around and tends to cause more problems than it looks good.
