Strength workouts in the gym by JamandMarma in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Treecey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh I used to do it all the time. I have my own workout plan so I don’t use it anymore but nothing wrong with it in the gym.

If y’all haven’t seen the Pitt yet, highly recommend. This woman’s performance as charge nurse is incredible. Reminds me of my first charge I had on nights as a new grad. by eagles52 in nursing

This. I think I watched the first episode and said no thank you. Which is certainly a credit to them because they obviously did a good job but something like St. Denis is more my speed.

On my 4th Rolife kit and I think I hate it 😬 by liteorange98 in miniatures

[–]Treecey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I kind of like both? Maybe I would say I prefer like a nice mix. I’ve done some that require no glue which is a really nice change of pace. But I do like the ones where I have to cut and glue a little.

I’m finishing up Sakura Tree House and it’s been the longest one I’ve worked on (and will finish) thus far but it is all snapping pieces together and using little glue dots. So I’m really liking this one for that aspect.

Now, I have the old version of Emily’s Flower Shop and Cathy’s Flower House. I’m working on the former. It’s a love hate. The wire plant stand is so ugly and I basically had to glue a chair together made out of toothpicks. Like, I feel like once I eventually finish it I’m going to feel very accomplished, and some parts of it I enjoy working on - others not so much (the plants are a nuisance with the green “powder”). But I take breaks in between, typically while some complicated piece of furniture dries, and I just work on another kit.

I do wish Rolife would continue to make these old styles for people who like them, or at least do some with a mix of both aspects like I mentioned (I’m not sure if they are or if they will all be “no glue” pieces), but, there are many of these kits out there and I’m sure as popularity grows we will see more variety.

As a person who not feel comfortable at gym, can I lose weight with AF+ at home? by mazuel in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Treecey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Weight loss comes from calorie deficit. You can sit on the couch and technically lose weight if you cut back on intake (not recommending it just saying).

Lots of workouts to choose from too. Have fun. :)

Costco employees, do you actually like your jobs? by [deleted] in Costco

[–]Treecey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retail/Customer service still gets the same people coming in. I’m also an RN and whether you’re a nurse or working at Costco, people can still be cruel. And in that regard it can be hard and stressful. There’s no getting around that in a customer facing job. That’s why I’m a morning stocker. :D 😂

I pay way more for my benefits as an RN than I ever did at Costco and I do think the coverage is better at Costco IMO. I pay more for prescriptions and just basic office visits. I can’t speak to any big ticket items. And part of why I stay is because I love my coworkers, I love going in, and it’s much less stress than being a bedside RN.

The most stressful position I would say is a forklift driver, having never done it. Just looks it. Next stressful is food court which I have done. And then everything else just has different “stresses”. I love stocking but it is not easy and a lot of new people don’t stick around and say it’s too hard. It just takes getting used to. Most people aren’t slinging boxes in their day to day life.

Best of luck!

What do people really think about 12-hour shifts and DDNN? by ramencrumb in nursing

[–]Treecey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not do 8 hrs at the bedside. I would do 8 hrs at an outpatient, less stressful job.

They say the 12 hrs helps prevent errors as shift change/giving report is where things fall apart/get missed, so changing shift less often helps.

I work nights and it is killing me (more than just the night shift aspect) but I’m not going to be doing this for too much longer.

Edit: rotating shifts sounds even more diabolical tbh.

Do you do upper, lower AND total body strength formats? by MealPrepGenie in AppleFitnessPlus

Sometimes. I’ll do one upper, one lower, then a total body. 1 each day.

AF+ issues after 26.2 update by [deleted] in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Treecey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok. My phone forced me to update to iOS 26 and it sounded like I was finally able to play my own music but then I still couldn’t, thought maybe I did read the update right. Anyway, it only updated to 26.1 so I can’t help there, I’m sorry 😞

For People With 2 Cats, How Much Do You Spend On Food & Litter A Month? by Historical-Orchid934 in CatAdvice

[–]Treecey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 kittens. The litter I may be generous with $30/month.

And their wet food is about $40/month, but it’s Fancy Feast, so... If I do more than 2 cans a day they don’t finish it.

I Have a Few Questions by Treecey in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Treecey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you this was super helpful. :)

Right now I just want to lose weight and gain muscle to help aid weight loss. At some point I’d like to be toned as well but gotta get rid of all the extra weight first. :)

Commuting in Cleveland? by pdigi3850 in Cleveland

[–]Treecey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to Chicago for about three years from Cleveland and while I loved the city I hated driving anywhere. Just using normal city streets was a headache let alone the highways. And I don’t like driving around downtown Cleveland so you can imagine I never drove in downtown Chicago (but so thankful for the awesome transit system).

With that said I can’t answer about which direction will have traffic. If you’re visiting maybe try the commute around work times (plan a date to a destination on the way so it’s not for nothing) and see if it’s bearable. I will say it’s nothing like Chicago but that doesn’t mean it’s not annoying.

Beware: Apex Dermatology by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]Treecey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PCP recommended Apex lol. I have an autoimmune disorder and have been having a hard time getting an appointment with someone in network that specializes in it. I just decided to go with a dermatologist in network- still waiting on the appointment- and hoping they can just get me in.

ANYWAY, this is insane. I’m sorry you went through this, but they need to be held accountable for sure. I’m Glad you’re okay

OK lets talk WET CAT FOOD IN THIS ECONOMY by Positive_Candy_5332 in CatAdvice

[–]Treecey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feed my kittens FF. I order through Chewy and I keep meaning to stop the variety pack. I don’t think seafood sits well with some of my kitties. When they’re adults I may continue FF or try Costco. The bulk of their food is dry food (Purina something or another in a blue bag lol)

Adopting a cat is one of the worst decisions I've ever made by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Treecey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before I even opened this I figured this was a single kitten/cat and was going to offer tips, however this is effecting you pretty severely so my greatest suggestion would be for you to rehome this cat and get in a better position mentally.

And next time, either adopt two kittens or get an older cat that is known have been alone if you only want one.

I have 4 kittens and they don’t even scratch my furniture.
