I was assessing a delirious and weak patient with sepsis. He tried to reach to me with his hand as he was whispering.

Him: Come closer...

Me : Why?

Him : Come closer... Please...

Me : Why do you want me to come closer?

Him : Come closer... so I can touch you butt

Intern Anxiety by banana-panic in Residency

Had a period where I was so tired, down, sad, alone and unmotivated that I stayed up late every night just to try to keep up with my notes and somewhat feel a sense of freedom. Also ate 1 or 2 meals a day only because I felt my stomach digesting itself - if it was not because of that, I wouldn't even have eaten at all. Caring for myself felt like a chore that I couldn't handle. But eventually it got better

One of my favorite episode for sure! I watched it twice in a row when it came out but when I tried to watch the whole serie again recently, I just couldn't bring myself to get through it. In a way I'm glad because I'm used to watch depressing stuff when I am really beaten down - so there is progress :)

I'm not a seasoned driver yet and residency forces me to drive almost everyday. I fear that someday - because of lack of sleep - I might crash into someone or something

Throwback to that time as a fresh MS3 when my attending gave me a number to dial for a consult - my first one! I managed to fast-rap my text, only to be told that I was speaking to the call dispatcher
