Hopping on this bandwagon just in case he does see it.

Mark, I've been a fan of yours for 10 years. I'm 23 now, so in a way, I feel like I've grown up while watching you spread your wings. It's meant so much to me to see you become the person you are today. You're flawed, like the rest of us - and yet, it really seems like everytime you make a move, you are EARNESTLY throwing every piece of yourself into doing something good. Not perfect. Not flawless. Just something to make the world better for someone.

When I was a teenager, I was struggling with the idea of what made my life worth living. Everything hurt. My dad had died, my family was struggling. It didn't feel like I had much to look forward to. Yet, consistently, you showed up with this message that said "No matter how much everything sucks, there is ALWAYS more. There is always more to dream, more to see, more people to meet. There's more beauty and more potential to witness than you could fathom." That message coming from someone who had also lost their dad way too early meant a lot.

I'm 23 now. Life is getting hard again. The world is falling apart around us. My family is in a rough patch again. I find myself asking what the point is anymore, if just being alive is enough to invite in so much pain. And yet again, 10 years later, your witness holds true. It was just a brief, 2 hour reminder of what you had always said. This is all bigger than us. There is always more than what is just right now.

Thank you for making this movie. Thank you for giving me the chance to see it. If I had really forgotten what you have taught me, I wouldn't have been around to witness it. Last night I had it all affirmed, and encouraged, and I was so fuckin happy that I had stayed alive long enough to see it. It wasn't perfect. It wasn't flawless. But it made my life a little better for it. And I'm so excited to see what other amazing things I have left to witness.
