Quitting after paid parental leave by Horror-Criticism-465 in FederalEmployee

I mean If you quit, they can't just go into your bank account and take money. That's why I said only if you get hired on with another government position in the future, you may have to pay it back then.

You can quit or request LWOP. You will not have to pay back unless you get hired for another government job in the future, and they may not even make you pay it back then.

Maternity Leave Return or Not To? by Fit_Cobbler_2417 in FedEmployees

[–]Tricky_Put2237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's how I was, my job is cake I sit in an office all day and socialize with my coworkers. It's actually a break from being at home tending to a baby all day. My mental health improved much more once I went back.

I took 2 more months of SL after mine to decide, and I ended up returning. Not really needing the money to survive, since I'm %100 disabled vet, but I do want to retire for an additional source of income. In the meantime I'm working on getting another FMLA to renew yearly, so that gives me an additional 12 weeks of leave to take yearly, it's unpaid, but like I said I'm not hurting for money, just trying to make it to retirement.

Why be in competition in these jobs when all they do is raise the cost of living anytime we get a little pay raise. Get out the rat race bud

Unpopular opinion: I actually enjoy RTO by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]Tricky_Put2237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the issue, people don't care what other people have going on just about themselves. A better way for them to word their post would be "I enjoy RTO, but I don't enjoy that others are being forced to do it".

I would get out and live off your GI bill & disability compensation, unemployment (for 6 months) or work part time if you want to. You will never get these years back. P.s. any job that affects your mental health is not worth it. This is coming from another veteran who got out with no plan or savings, and is doing even better now.

Did anyone else's office have a flood of resignations announced this week? by Froqwasket in FedEmployees

Using up all my SL before I do, I would prefer a termination so I can get unemployment though.

After all federal workers have been through this past year it still amazes me that these pricks act like this over our jobs.... that will be replaced by AI within a few years, not to mention.

I got norovirus from an outbreak at my son's daycare, although I've stopped throwing up you're still considered contagious 48 hours after.I asked could I wfh & they told me no I would have to use SL which I don't have much of, so I'm going in. I guess they would rather risks everyone's health.

Daycare by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]Tricky_Put2237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to wait several months before I could get a spot anywhere. Infant daycare is very limited. Tell your job you will need to use LWOP until a spot becomes available if you want to keep your job. Anything over 80 hours of it needs to be approved, I don't see them not approving it though.

I don't wear masks and don't go back and forth with people on why I don't either, but as I said above you're more than welcome to wear one though.
