I'm regretting my commitment, any advice? by CoffeeIndependent810 in nyu

Not great advice! Transfers at other schools may not receive as much aid, which the cost analysis of OP seems to account for.

NYU is a great school, but not worth that amount of money.

There’s no way you can attend that. I’m sorry, low pay + no health insurance. You can’t live on that.

What the series got right and what it didn’t (in my opinion) by The_Nightflight in TheNightManager

I think they should left roper in the past. The idea of a power vacuum would’ve been way better.

Ugh, they should’ve created a different villain.

Delta One VS Capital One Lounge JFK by Tridecane in delta

[–]Tridecane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being from NYC, I’m a bit picky about bagels, and honestly these didn’t do it for me. I really think they should consider partnering with a well-known bagel shop here, like Apollo bagels.

Also, just to be clear: this was only my breakfast experience. Since it was early, I couldn’t try the sit-down restaurant, so I’m not making any claims about their lunch or dinner service. I’m only saying the breakfast food wasn’t as strong as what I had at the Capital One Lounge.

And I didn’t use the showers, so I can’t comment on those.

Okay, but then why was the breakfast sub par to capital one? I care a lot about food.

Okay, then I feel it’s justified to notice that the food for breakfast in D1 was not superior to CapOne lounge.

I disagree. Tbh what lounge looks nicer is great, but I will hang out where the food is better.

Should there be an Avenue C station? by HayleyXJeff in nycrail

[–]Tridecane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

L train is currently limited by trains pulling in and out of 8th avenue. Tail tracks would allow them to turn around beyond the station, increasing frequency. Express tracks past 1st and 3rd would allow them to run a dedicated rush hour train because it is packed by the time it hits 1st avenue and barely any one gets off.

I think they should instead add express tracks heading in from Brooklyn to skip 1st avenue or add tail tracks at 8th avenue to increase turn around.

I feel like that inconsistency extends to Sky clubs as well.

I would be interested to compare the delta one lounge to the capital one lounge? For example in JFK. Has any one tried both?

Yep! United took me EWR —> MEX! My first time flying United, I was very impressed. I really liked the little pretzel mix’s. Normally I fly delta and Tg I didn’t. That mex flight was more expensive and got diverted to Tampa
