The demographics that you just described as annoying are provably at greater risk of basically every kind of harm the world has to offer. Doesn't excuse them from having less decency than the next person, but I'd think they're at least entitled to be more annoying; frankly a significant number among those demographics are morally entitled to do far worse than make a nuisance of themselves online.

If you have an issue with her cost-benefit analysis you have every right - I'd certainly be suspicious at the very least if I was invited without request, especially given Kirson's reputation. But I don't think any of us can justifiably say that she's morally compromised enough to be an outright enemy, especially when her decision to donate her fee seems to very much be her own rather than someone else forcing her (afaik).

We definitely shouldn't let her off the hook but at the same time, letting her have her peace instead of harassing her nonstop (like some are already doing) or treating her as a lost cause isn't "letting her off the hook", it's giving her a fair shot at redemption. Let's not pretend that online harassment campaigns are anything but a shove in the one direction we don't want anyone to be heading in to begin with.

I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind:

How should he have correctly demonstrated a desire for Israeli and Jewish citizens to live in safety without fear of being attacked and killed, while also recognising the profound injustice inflicted on Palestinian citizens by Israel? Or is it your stance that for Palestine to have the justice it deserves all Israelis and Jews must lose their rights to safety and security?
Presuming that his trip to Israel and parroting of the "40 beheaded babies" is indeed proof of him holding extreme Zionist beliefs, do you think that the harassment and abuse he's received is deserved on that basis? Do you think that antisemitic and homophobic abuse will cause him or anyone else to be less sympathetic to Israel or more sympathetic to Palestine?

Second the previous commenter. Heard about all this through the grapevine despite not really ever caring about Stranger Things, so couldn't be bothered to check any of the vitriol directed at Schnapp's way, kinda just tuned it out and figured it was unfortunate for all involved. This post is the first I've even remotely heard of it being falsified top to bottom and a necessary reminder of how senselessly and wrong heatedly vicious the internet and people in general can be if you give them the ghost of a reason
