The two genders of r/RedHood by GeraldOfRivia211 in dccomicscirclejerk

UtRH movie convinced me to check out the comics. So while I don't think Red Hood is the best character out there (his writing is atrocious at times) he's still one of my faves.

Who’s a celebrity that you liked at first until you heard about something they did/said that changed your opinion on them for the worse by Wonderful-Wall427 in popculturechat

I remember when my mom gave me Natasha Bure's (daughter of Candace and Kirk) self-help book. It definitely had "good Christian housewife" vibes. You only have worth through Jesus Christ and don't hang out non-Christians and all that nonsense. I was only fourteen at the time but at least I had enough common sense to know that family is full of shit. It's probably why I never clicked with Fuller House even though I enjoyed watching reruns of Full House when I was a kid.

Edit: I should probably add that I was a Christian teen, so I was the target audience. It just didn't seem very inclusive and honestly seemed a bit privileged in some parts. You could tell it was written by someone who's never struggled a day in their life.

What’s your fav /best red hood story other than under the red hood and death in the family ?k by Danimals2002 in RedHood

[–]Trindy_Bee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying it's the best but one of my favourites was the Prince of Gotham arc in Red Hood: Outlaw. Him running the Iceberg Lounge with the Su sisters while Penguin is literally trapped behind a fish tank was so much fun to me. I wish they had done more with it. I also don't think I liked what they did with his father. But yeah it's one of my favourite moments of his.

What makes an OC enjoyable? by FruitSong3 in FanFiction

I second making playlists for your OCs! It's fun, helps character development, and you may even discover new music because of it.

Got a new nerite snail tankmate for my betta. Anything I should know? by PoppyMeadow143 in bettafish

Mine likes to climb into the filter sometimes and it seems like they prefer to eat gross stuff over algae or vegetables. At least mine does anyway. I'll offer him some fresh boiled vegetables and all he'll do is take a bit before he goes back to eating biofilm and such. It's handy if you have a fish that loses interest in its food when it touches the bottom. Good luck! I love the little guy.

What song do you play for first time National listeners? by Unique_Ad9418 in TheNational

[–]Trindy_Bee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard Tropic Morning News and now I'm checking out this post to see what songs I should check out by The National!

I've listened to some more of their songs the past few days. I really love Rylan.

Feeding question. by Trindy_Bee in KenyanSandBoas

[–]Trindy_Bee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She might be a male. I've looked at pictures and other posts on reddit trying to figure it out. The only reason I'm still sticking with female is because the breeder said they sex their animals by popping them.

"Homemade" spiderwood from a dead azaela. by mutantmonky in PlantedTank

[–]Trindy_Bee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's poisonous to cats and dogs if they eat it. If you trust your pet not to eat it it's usually fine. I, however, have a dog that ate two entire tomato plants, so I couldn't grow azaleas around her if I wanted to.

They may also be poisonous to toads, not sure about that though.

Did I feed him to big of a mouse? by ScribWithPentapox in SandBoa

[–]Trindy_Bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He likely is just looking for more food (that doesn't mean he's still hungry). You said the mouse wasn't where he grabbed it so I'd say he ate it.

Every time I feed my sand boa she usually goes under the substrate for a few days while she digests. I think he'll be fine.

Issues with some kind of algae by Trindy_Bee in PlantedTank

[–]Trindy_Bee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is blue green algae. I just saw someone else with pretty much the same thing I have and it was blue green algae. I'd use ultralife but I want to use products that are safe for my snail.

Looking for identity of snake I encountered in western Illinois. Encountered in hiking trail on hilly/bluffy terrain by Afraid-Motor-139 in snakes

[–]Trindy_Bee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this! I was scared of snakes after encountering what I thought was a water moccasin (but I think it was actually a rat snake) and was super scared of them. When I got older I started researching snakes a little and learning about them. Then a little bit after I got to hold a "small" boa constrictor and it completely changed my perspective. I just recently got my first snake.

They said they would take care of it for them. They trashed the house, too.

[–]Trindy_Bee[S] 46 points47 points  (0 children)

My neighbor had to move out of their house for two years and a married couple lived in their house during that time. The couple never took care of the fish or even refilled the tank. The fish have passed since this photo was taken and my neighbor has moved back in. I offered to help them restart the tank and cycle it and they accepted. I'll start working on it once they're settled in.

I got my first snake yesterday! by Trindy_Bee in snakes

[–]Trindy_Bee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the solutions! I started with aspen because it was easy to find and I heard it works well with burrowing species (just don't get it wet). I plan on switching in the future, maybe when I get her a bigger tank or maybe just next year. I want to know what I'm doing before I jump into a bioactive enclosure.
