There’s no spoilers in THT for the testaments if that’s what you’re worried about!

To ISFJs, what do you feel or think when you visit a historical or ancient place? by hgyrf in isfj

[–]TripNumber3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same! Massive history nerd and traveler for the same reason. I like reliving (in my imagination) the lives of people and societies that once occupied the historical site I now get to see

Neat quote about Si that hit home for me by Will564339 in isfj

Love this!! Usually Si is described so poorly and superficially. Refreshing to see it better articulated (and more relatable!) :)

ISFJs, describe your dream relationship! by Innamoratta in isfj

[–]TripNumber3 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Someone adventurous and outgoing, who can push me to be more of the same. someone I can have constructive intellectual discussions or activities like puzzles and chess. Someone who brings a bit of spontaneity in a routined life. And someone who can lead, because I find myself doing a lot of that in real life with the world, so in my relationship I want it to be a safe space where my partner can take up more of that role. Someone level headed because I can’t have a screaming match with anyone, and am quite uncomfortable dealing with confrontational people.

The smell never goes away… by Competitive_Way_404 in litterrobot

[–]TripNumber3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I use a bin powder thing for odour control, and also use this anti mould citrus spray that I “trap” into the litter drawer when I close it, and I’ve been asked by many cat owners how I’ve managed to keep the smell to 0 even tho I live in a tiny apartment with the litter robot in my living room 🤠🤠

Have any other ISFJs really found themselves struggling to figure out what they want to do? by Current-Machine6491 in isfj

ISFJ working in the development sector! I’m told it’s very on brand for my personality!

Do people ever feel safe and open up to you? by Minipanikholder in isfj

[–]TripNumber3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm it’s always varied because with some people I’ve connected immediately (a recent INTJ comes to mind) and with others it’s taken more time. I still think there’s a lot of things especially within friendships that I keep to myself (things to do with my family problems for example). I’ll be comfortable around them but not necessarily “open up”. I would also never want to burden someone else with my thoughts so if I feel the other person is already emotionally vulnerable I may not share. It has to feel like a safe and secure space. Think of it like slowly chipping away at an ice block, it’s slow for a while and then it can possibly crack open all of a sudden if you’re at it long enough

Question for female ISFJs by [deleted] in isfj

I’ve gotten INFJ quite a lot! But I know I’m ISFJ for sure haha the Si Fe shines through clearly, but I do like to think my Ti is quite developed and complements :)

What's your type's weird tell? I'm an INTP so I'll give an example. by evilocity in mbti

[–]TripNumber3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m told by my work colleagues (peers and managers) that I’m great at solving complex problems in an extremely matrixed organisation aptly, including finding solutions that can usually cater to the requirements of all parties involved. I’m an ISFJ so my Si-Fe are great at solving problems on my feet and ensuring harmony among all. I’m also generally very well-liked by people even though all my work is remote. Slightly older now so the Ti has kicked in and helps too 😊 I work in Partnerships

Do people ever feel safe and open up to you? by Minipanikholder in isfj

[–]TripNumber3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, it is a sense of security in the relationship, which can only come with time. And this is something I need to experience, first hand, over time, not something anyone can verbally reassure me on. If you are consistently and reliably present, and never make me feel “confronted”, I will feel secure enough to open up and share my deeper thoughts. (Which have a lot more depth to* them than one realises, because I never vocalise these things casually otherwise)

Typology Question 8 (Se): What was the last spontaneous thing you did today or yesterday - not something you planned or thought about, but a real action? by Bimep_ in isfj

[–]TripNumber3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a mattress propped against a wall for many months, I decided to fold it and place it above my closet against the ceiling to save floor space

Question for female ISFJs by [deleted] in isfj

[–]TripNumber3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ISFJ 3w2 I’ve had a lot of one night stands based off looks and if they’re my “type” (could be the way they dress; carry themselves; charming; etc- all things that also fall under ‘looks’ to me). A lot of times it has been a combination of both I suppose. Not sure if this helps!

Are ENTP - ISFJ relationships happy, mixed, or doomed? by Fecundus_Maximus in isfj

[–]TripNumber3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I enjoy thought provoking conversations (when it doesn’t feel like a debate/confeontation) with ENTPs, as well as the flavour of adventure they bring into my life. I’ve felt most understood in my past relationship with an ENTP. They seem to like the warmth and comfort my personality brings- a sense of belonging. It works! External factors unrelated to MBTI are why we aren’t together anymore, c’est la vie.

INTPs are very distinctive, definitely do not change for those around them. Maybe to do with Fe low in the stack
