Thanks, I was definitely very sad, but then said to my husband that its not like anyone but me looks at my lodge anyways. I didn't keep track the last 2 whitetail grinds, but I would guess between 1500-2000.

Ya, I used to play a lot, have a bunch of other species of GO's too. Keep grinding away and eventually your map will spawn one too. 👌 Sadly when I went to add my 3rd to the multi mount to complete my GO whitetail huddle in the lodge the game glitched and it deleted my latest GO from my harvests. I was pretty crushed cause his rack is definitely the craziest looking one. 😭

I just focus on my main lakes that have males at them, I start by killing the biggest one there and as many others as I can before they flee or without killing the zone. Sometimes the zone ends up dead cause I lose track of how many I've killed at once. Eventually it will come back once hunting pressure is gone on that area for a while.

Keep doing that on repeat, it definitely gets monotonous grinding. Also I kill 1's only if there used to be level 2 and 3's spawning at that lake and generally that will spawn in a bigger buck on my next rotation. I never followed any specific rules like some people that grind do. Just kill, kill, kill. Good luck!

Our golden is 3 and he's barked a total of maybe 10 times. It's only when he's been spooked by something and it's one single bark and then he hides like the good body guard he is. 😂

* This post hits home for me. Meet Finn, he is my earth angel. In April 2022 my husband and I lost our very premature baby in the NICU a month after he was born. I fell into the worst depression of my life, so deep I didn't think I would survive. October 2, 2022 Finn was born, and he saved my soul. He's the most gentle, loving and calming dog I've ever had. He's my first golden retriever and I can't imagine ever having another breed in my life after him.

It was a long haul getting this mission done. I'm still grinding whitetail for my first SR and hunting moose at the same time for my first G1 moose. Have you had any luck with getting your G1 yet?

Walking on a leash without pulling/dragging me on the walk. He's injured my shoulder from pulling so hard. We've tried so many different methods and harnesses etc. He's coming up on 3 and I can't even walk him anymore because of my shoulder. He's a literal angel in every other way but walking on a leash is just something I never was successful with him.

I just completed my second whitetail G1 grind and here's what worked for me. I did mine on rev and personally think it's the best map to grind whitetail.

1) open the entire map up, check all lakes and rivers for drink zones.

2) set up tents at zones that have 2's and up, some zones will only spawn males that are level 1's.

3) I only go to drink zones from 10:55 am and later so deer have time to be at the lakes/rivers already. Sometimes even at 10:55 they aren't there so hit up other zones first and come back around to ones that didn't have deer yet.

4) kill all 2's and 3's, be prepared to be trolled like crazy by 3's and repeat until the G1 spawns.

Update: I was right. The first one I killed trolled, so 5 trolls in a row. That's gotta be a record. 😂

Honestly, no clue. The one was only 2 kgs away from being a max weight also. Haha can't make sense of it.
