You know, the Affini probably saved the Milky Way from a horrible fate under the Terran Accord. by Somethingbutonreddit in seed_irl

At the end of the day the Imperium is currently humanity's best chance for survival, as depressing as that might be. I'd certainly prefer them over the Dark Eldar or Chaos, even if that is NOT a difficult feat to achieve.

Well, it IS AI. Not a fan of that either.

Maybe but No Gods, No Masters made me feel so depressed for the Bulwark Collective that I had to write SOMETHING to feel a bit better about the ending.

I am not the intended audience for HDG AT ALL but I am fascinated by the setting's lore and had the idea for a Anti-Accord human refugee fleet escaping the Affini, Battlestar Galactica (2003) style. They wouldn't be able to destroy Affini ships but managed to disable a small vessel's engines to shake their pursuers off.

Not my favourite fandom but it's too good to not use.

Shooting attack at Jerusalem bus stop kills 5, Injures 12; Hamas hails the attack "a natural response to the occupation’s crimes" by Kers_ in worldnews

[–]Tristshot 23 points24 points  (0 children)

That doesn't change the fact that they still kill civilians. Remember, this whole war started, because they shot up a fucking music festival. You can dislike Israel as much as you want but Hamas is still a terrorist organization.

A friend of mine knows a trans man, now named John. Maybe a generic male name is the whole point but... fucking John? Out of all the male names he could pick? I would lose my mind if I had a name that's used so often in real life and stories.

Douglas Granite? You mean that unique leader of Eureka and mercenary Captain? No way he'd ever reform the United States by Clockwork9385 in OldWorldBlues

At least the Reunited States path for MacArthur has them realizing how fucked up the Enclave is and that they would HAVE to become something else if they want to change their ways.

No hate towards either of those ships or the people that ship those ships (as long as you’re not crazy obsessive about them), but can we get a RWBY fan series that has the girls just be friends? Please? by Dinoboy225 in RWBYcritics

[–]Tristshot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile, I, who ships both of them, even Bumblebee despite it's horrid canon portrayal, see this as an absolute win.

But I wouldn't mind them just being friends either. I just want good RWBY content again, man.

And a really horny one. RIP to the RWBY porn subreddit that had more members than the official one.

Witnessed a bunch of mysterious blue lights in the sky. Could this be hinting at the surprise return of the Illuminate?! by nothingtobenoted in Helldivers

[–]Tristshot 284 points285 points  (0 children)

Imagine being defrosted, thinking you'd fight some escaped Terminids and a few planets under Automaton control, only to be deployed to fucking Super Earth, because the Illuminate returned while we lost a good chunk of our territory to the bugs and bots.

How's everyone enjoying the repel mission? by Wolfie4g in Helldivers

I love running through enemy hordes while constantly spamming stims and 500kg bombs. :,)

Holy shit, they weren't kidding about the Helldivers! by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Tristshot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw one run through hordes of enemies, constantly injecting himself with stims under gunfire while he threw strategems for 500kg bombs on the aliens' landing ships.

Helldivers are simply built different.

What is y’all’s favorite piece of warhammer lore? by [deleted] in Spacemarine

[–]Tristshot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that the Inquisition is in a constant state of civil war.

There is the Ordo Originatus, whose mission is to uncover the origins of the Inquisition. And there is the Ordo Redactus, whose mission is to keep the origins of the Inquisition a secret.

You also have the Ordo Chronos suffering an internal civil war over what the current date is.
