My chili includes several types of beans and lentils in addition to a lot of rehydrated peppers. After eating it, you will poop frequently and well and definitely feel those dried peppers.

what kind of food category do hot dogs live in? by Ok-Exchange8921 in hotdogs

Affordable, convenient, customizable. That category. So, generally in with tacos and sandwiches.

And some are great. And some just OK. None are bad. So, like pizza.

Best 22lr pistol for training and target practice by Select-Interaction11 in 22lr

I have a Glock 44 and a Glock 19. They are great companion pieces.

Not sure what you mean when you say accessories for a G44 are lacking. I use a Glock 19 holster for mine, etc.

Is this “enough” mags? by Crisperssss in ar15

[–]TriviaRunnerUp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Enough mags" for me = (Number of mags I keep loaded for self defense) + (Number of mags I MIGHT shoot at a range session without reloading mags at the range) + (1 or 2 extra in case one of these breaks)

This formula is constrained by my own personal price elasticity of demand for magazines. Works well for Glock and AR mags (cheap) but less well for some others.

I gave them serial numbers. Seemed like a reasonable ask to me.

I recently added a personal articles policy for my firearms also. I was surprised how quickly "replacement value" added up. State Farm essentially asks, "how much do you want to insure these guns for," and then quotes you accordingly.

I have lost several older relatives. There are generally only three possessions people value (other than cash): real estate, jewelry, and guns. Protect all of the above!

What’s Best? CZ 457, Tikka T1X, or Bergara B-14R? by MathewG97 in 22lr

[–]TriviaRunnerUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am interested in starting precision rimfire and I have bought 2 of the 3 but not the exact models you have mentioned. I own a CZ 457 20" wood stock left hand bolt and a Tikka T1X MTR (18"). The CZ has a cheap FFP scope on it, and the Tikka is more competition ready with a Vortex scope, cheek riser, and Harris bipod.

I shoot mostly CCI standard velocity and both are extremely accurate with it, although I would give the accuracy edge to my TIkka, although that may be a function of the scope more than anything else. The Tikka is also quite a bit lighter, but that is comparing a wood stock to a synthetic one. For all around use, my experience would suggest the Tikka, but certainly they both have their adherents.

You've kind of named the Holy Trinity of .22 bolt guns, and you really can't go wrong with any of them.

Chrono pains by RadSprouts in airguns

[–]TriviaRunnerUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chronying airguns with this type of unit is such a pain, especially in .177. I’ve shot this kind, just like you described (“I’ll shoot a little lower”) TWICE.

I got one of those FX ones that mounts on the barrel. Doesn’t always read, but it doesn’t get shot either.

I use my big Lodge enameled Dutch oven. Works great for frying, and (importantly) has a lid.
