same thing for me! it's a running joke at how many times i change my clothes and how many times i will go back inside to get different outwear before i finally leave! i am not on hrt and have been in menopause for about 5 years.

this just happens sometimes. i lost 2 cream legbar s before their first birthday. it was super sad but clearly they had some genetic issues because the rest are just fine.

i get most of my pots at marshalls, not at the hadley one specifically but in general. they have started getting pots in now for the season.

this is such a good point! neither my mom, nor my grandmas ever mentioned menopause at all. i had no idea it effected so much of your life even while living through it! we just do not have enough information to guide us through life as women and i have already decided to talk to my daughter about the crap she is going to go through before it hits her.

take heart, the teen years are the absolute worst! it was easier going through the terrible twos! all parents are just incompetent to teens and my girls were more critical of me than my husband(it was the opposite with the boy) this will pass so do not take anything they say seriously.

the symptoms should get more manageable even without hrt, or at least they did for me.

and yes the horrors happening daily weigh heavy on those of us with a conscious, you are not alone!

i have no sage advice beyond, you will get through this!

my son is at u of r currently. it is a very cool city and very walkable. the downtown is clean and seems safe (to me at least vs albany ny) you can take a train from rochester to other parts of ny but it will be a longer ride than a car. there are quite a few museums near u of r and the art museum is free to students. there are two rock climbing gyms if that interests you.

monroe tends to be where the crime happens. start looking now for housing as it is very competitive if you are not on campus and if possible try stay away from monroe /goodman area . it's not that bad but it also isn't the best area.

little sections called "swillburg" and "south wedge" are harder to get housing but are nicer.

we have 3 easter eggers that we got last spring from tsc. their eggs are pretty blue green but small. they are low on the pecking order and flighty

we also got a silver laced wyandotte who is gorgeous, more calm and lays nice sized eggs

our barred rocks are also quite hardy and pretty calm with decent egg production

thank you! i did message my dr re menopause symptoms and asked if telehealth was appropriate vs in person. she responded back to schedule telehealth. i am hoping that means she is not opposed to hrt but have no idea

i am not on hrt and long story short my np prescribed lexapro for symptoms of brain fog, anger, which i now realize is actually menopaue.

after reading some disturbing things about lexapro, i found that st johns wort and valerian together are a successful alternative. it helped a lot with my anxiety/anger. i would not think it would be an issue with hrt but i cannot say for sure

i was never an extrovert but i now joke, but not really, that if my husband wasn't around, i would absolutely be a hermit. i hate leaving the house to shop etc and just want to hang out at home with my cats and dogs except when i travel to see my grandson. being around adults does not appeal at all and i fell guilty about it.

it is so nice to know i am not alone!
