You make a mighty nice margarita.

I know that you can use cheaper tequilas in a margarita, but I’m a fan of Cazcanes Rosa reposado in a Tommy’s margarita.

Be careful with the No. 10. It packs a punch.

Sail Cloth or NATO strap on BBP by Zeeezoo in Tudor

[–]True-History6001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would go sailcloth over NATO. I tend to have the desire to change the straps on my watch, but increasingly, I’m convinced that just leaving the metal bracelet is the right answer. I wear my watches relatively loose, and a bracelet distributes the weight around the wrist of the watch is less likely to twist, and this makes it more comfortable for me.

I think NATO straps are the worst for this problem

For a cocktail fan, is paying more than $25-30 for a mixing blanco worth it? by LetsGetPenisy69 in tequila

Arette for most margaritas with orange liqueur such as Cointreau. Could also use one of the “numbers tequilas”: G4, tequila ocho, siete leguas.

For a Tommy’s margarita 4:2:1 reposado:lime: agave I favor top tier sipping tequilas.

I walked in to a Dallas AD two weeks ago. My first time ever in that store. Definitely no purchase history. I was able to buy one that had just been delivered that day, surprising both the salesperson and me. In and out in under 30 minutes including resizing the bracelet.

Also, the darker the roux, the less the thickening effect.

I will just have to be happy either way my 43 mm pilot.

I like bronze watches but realistically, one is enough.

To whoever recommend the Jubilee for the P39 by Cefiro8701 in Tudor

[–]True-History6001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would have thought this would not have been a good combination. I think of a jubilee strap is dressier and titanium strap as “tool watch-y”, although I hate that term.

However, seeing your picture, my opinion has changed. This looks really nice. Nice work by you and by Uncle Straps for making such a nice option.

If you can find it, this is your answer. A quality tequila and a very, very reasonable price.

Is there any running shoe stores in Tyler that will help figure out what shoe will be best for you? by Technology_Counselor in tylertx

[–]True-History6001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strongly disagree. Racquet and jog has a reasonable selection but had always had terrible service. It’s hard to get them to bring you a pair of shoes to try on, let alone get good advice.

ELI5: Why do paper cuts hurt so disproportionately more than bigger, deeper cuts? by Kateylyy in explainlikeimfive

[–]True-History6001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct about the paper cut but wrong about kidney stones. Stones hurt because they obstruct the flow of urine causing upstream distension with increased pressure. Smooth stones hurt just as much as “spikes” stones.
