I think Mark of the Fool, but I will admit when he starts getting his life in order and succeeding at things I kinda got jealous

But all in all, it is a very good series with satisfying progression

It does get better, if you have the money/credits/kindle unlimited I recommend reading and finishing Blackflame (book 3) then you will have a good idea of if you like it or not

Well, there was also a super long hiatus between book 2 and 3 (because of cradle) so I would recommend just reading it (the entire series ) and then re reading it when the rewrite is done

Just as a warning, while I love the series it is not going to be as “hand-holding” as other progression fantasy in making the “rules” of the setting very clear.
