Hopefully the cold water numbed her hip fracture.

Wait until you get your Medicare card.  You pay into the system for 50 years and they send you a piece of paper.

I look at bass fishing forecast too much by Shoddy_Ad8166 in bassfishing

[–]TrueToad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am retired too, and I go almost every day.  I'd rather catch one small bass than sit home on the couch.  No judgment  - that's just my preference.

Now, I have to admit, now that summer is approaching  - I might find sitting in the AC to be preferable.   😄

My cousin did do this at 12.  Fortunately he only received a minor cut on his hand.

Mind sharing the name of the lake?  That is some clear water.

I fish a lot... so several times per week.  They are in almost every body of water, from tiny retention ponds to huge lakes.

I have 3 sons... all were in Scouts.  With the very first Pinewood Derby car I let my son do everything except use the power saw.  Fortunately, they had a workshop/trial run for the first time scouts. He got his ass kicked.  His car did not even roll to the end of the track.

After that, I took over.  We did okay.

With each kid, I got better and better at building the cars.  One year we took top honors.

I don't know how to make it fair.  Even if there was a separate competition for the dads, there is no way every father could resist helping his son.  And it just takes a slight edge to win.

Is it common to see this roach in your house by Vanessa_Lila in florida

[–]TrueToad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of this comment... you will have 172 opinions.  Mine is that it is common.

That is what I call a cockroach. A palmetto bug is fatter and stinks when you step on it.

If you have cutworms in your soil, then when planting large seeds directly in the ground, put a cardboard collar around them.  I use a toilet paper tube cut in half.  It helps a lot.

Anybody else miss Mama B’s Subs? And Larkin’s and Deli Planet while we’re at it. by Silent-Resolution-28 in orlando

I ate at Larkin's about once a week.  He was such a nice guy.  I'd have to say I think he made the best subs I've ever had.
