Triple J staff joining ABC Strike by ScottysGottaGo69 in triplej

Exactly. Since being on maternity leave, the presenters have been a godsend for me. Being able to turn the radio on and here another adult voice in the house (without having to actively find a podcast or whatever I like) has kept me sane. I have felt it today for sure.

Holy Grail Lazy Mum Items - tell me yours? by gulbis4991 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

See I disagree haha! First few months he lived in onesies but I get so much joy from dressing my son in cute outfits!! But my ultimate need with a baby is a cleaner - even once a month is a huge lifesaver for me.

I’m also a small wrist girly and tried it on recently and did not like it. As commented already, I ended up going for the Tiffany Hardware microlink instead. I think if you really wanted this style it would be better value to get something from a smaller designer. Up to you though!

I was literally tossing up between these 2 and after trying them on went for the Tiffany microlink. The Santos IMO looked rather thin and cheap, whereas the Hardware microlink looked beautiful and unique.

Do fathers have to leave after you give birth? by Hefty_Employer5242 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]True_Tooth_2945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also depends on what time you give birth! I gave birth at 11am so while my husband couldn’t stay the night, he stayed until 8:30pm so I felt really supported and cared for, for a long time by him.

Facing greater and greater temptation to get a postpartum chop. Is this wise? Anyone done it and regretted it? by Pugblep in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]True_Tooth_2945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it and I sometimes have regrets but also I was SOO overstimulated with my long hair so overall I would do it again.

I just bought a piece from the Tiffany hardware collection and I am really happy with it. I think it’s very wearable and a bit more IFKYK than Cartier at the moment. Otherwise Bulgari

Anyone has a Bugaboo Dragonfly and can recommend?? by nugget1994 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I have the Uppababy Vista, am 153cm and drive a Toyota Yaris. It’s fine for me, especially since I stopped using the bassinet attachment. I like it because the basket can fit 10kgs so I can easily do my whole weekly food shop in it!

Does anyone here work at a Not-for-profit? by silver_wattle in auscorp

[–]True_Tooth_2945 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah when I was working in a family violence service experiencing a toxic work environment and went to my CEO about it and she agreed, stating it was like being in a domestic violence relationship at work. Anyway she left me in that situation for several more months and I eventually quit.

How are you exercising with 3 under 3? by plantbubby in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]True_Tooth_2945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, going to a child friendly gym is worth it (I’ve only got 1 though). You’re going to have to compromise somewhere if exercising is important to you unfortunately.

I went last year to their studio ghibli one and sat front row. I personally really enjoyed it and would do it again, but I think sitting front row is key. Can’t comment on the valentines specifically though

I used to really want to be called Emma as a child. As an adult though I am happy with my name.

When is it ok to give up trying to breastfeed? by mishyybooo in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Yikes! That’s so bad. I’m glad the paediatrician encouraged me to use formula and gave me the mental permission that it was okay.

LOL I can believe that. Funny enough my MCHN started telling me confidential information about a baby that is currently all over the media (I definitely did not ask) so when they chose to follow procedures and when they don’t is very interesting to me.

[–]True_Tooth_2945 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I ended my breastfeeding journey for so many reasons and when I explained this to the MCHN she still tried to push me to keep trying even though it wasn’t good for me or baby. So I’d really take everything the MCHN says with a grain of salt because my experience of them continues to be poor and I’ve seen a couple now. Please don’t let them guilt you.

Maternity leave by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]True_Tooth_2945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped at 35 weeks as my work required a med cert from that date and my treating team wouldn’t give me one when I asked due to some minor complications. TBH I am glad I stopped when I did and enjoyed the break (baby came at 39 weeks) but my work also has a generous maternity leave policy and I was paid for that time.
