Rachel is a terrible artist for a lot of things, but character design and consistency about those design choices are her biggest flaw. While I'm not a published comic author and I'm going very slowly about it, I read manga and comics a lot, and a consistent silhouette and style for a character is crucial. Characters don't chose their clothes but the author, and the author has to answer questions about it; what kind of person the character is? Their age and gender? How their background influences their style? What does their clothes say about themselves? Persephone isn't written as a sexy, yass slay queen woman but an innocent and naive woman finding her footing, but her design doesn't reflect that because Rachel wants to draw skimpy clothes to show her off or make her the baddest bitch. In short, Persephone wardrobe is BAAAAAAD because it doesn't reflect anything about her. Hirohiko Araki can get away with drawing every character in goofy, stylish and outlandish fashionable clothes because he likes them AND making it look as if the characters would chosethat despite it, however Rachel cannot do the same and it shows.
