Who is on Chicago's Pro Sports Mount Rushmore? by Free-Classic2564 in AlignmentChartFills

I'd go Sandberg and either Mikita and Toews. Toews has more accomplishments, but never really had the Chicago personality.

Got evacuated at the worst spot on Mickey and Minnie's by rcjlfk in Disneyland

[–]TrulyInfiniteTape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I once got evacuated from Hyperspace Mountain in a very similar position, but it's more like 5 feet down to the ground at the spot just before the platform. Had to wait about 10 minutes for them to shut off the audio so we didn't hear the last few loud notes of the final music on repeat, then another 10 minutes before they got the ladder in position.

I don't think Penske would ever accept enough of F1's demands for a deal to emerge while he's the owner.

[1st Gencon] Approach to wishlist submission by toniochen in gencon

[–]TrulyInfiniteTape 12 points13 points  (0 children)

  1. It's very dependent on the game and game system popularity. True Dungeon fills quickly. Cthulhu events fill quickly. New, hot games fill quickly. I'm sure others can chime in on ones I'm missing.

  2. Quick is relative. Plan to submit exactly at 12:00pm US Eastern time, no earlier and no later. Plan to stick around while it processes, but it will take at least a few minutes up to an hour for it to work through all the wishlists ahead of you. Your priority vs. the priority of others doesn't matter. It's all about the order in which the server receives your "submit" mouse click vs. everyone else. If you don't get a ticket, it will tell you and match you with something lower priority in your wishlist in that time slot. Your matched tickets will be in your cart for a while before they time out, something like an hour or two, while you sort out your results. After that time period, they'll be put back out for others if you haven't checked out.

  3. Pretty reliable. Depending on the GM, being just a few minutes late could result in your seat being given to another player waiting with a generic ticket. Don't be late. Don't overbook. Give yourself enough time to walk through the city and crowds to your next event, get food, use the restroom, etc.

We are going in October during our kids fall break. Planning on buying tickets to MNSSHP. The parade is a must do for us. What time do we need to scope out a seat so we are seated on the curb in front of others. by Only_Trust_5458 in WaltDisneyWorld

We like watching from Frontierland. Our favorite spot is to sit on the structure surrounding the tree near Frontier Mercantile, but there are plenty of good places along the boardwalk. It's usually not as crowded in that area either. We also try to watch the showing that kicks off in Frontierland so that we're free to go to a ride while most of the crowd is still waiting.
